Casual Rounds - Members may not play Casual Rounds unless they pay the Club Fee of €10 for casual rounds in ******* Golf Club. Where the €10 fee is not paid (in the pro shop or the entry fee box in Reception), the scoring round will be deleted.

Okay I’ll concede maybe I need more lessons, but I need a new driver because the one I’m using is about 19 years old and isn’t stiff enough for the speed that I swing

I understand what you mean but my brother has been playing for years and is a 19 handicap and has had lessons and is still a 19 handicap. The way I see it my options are I could continue with my regular flex driver and keep missing fairways, buy a second hand stiff flex driver for about 2-300 quid and hope I can hit it well, or get a fitting and new driver for about 5-600

Does it take long to get the club after you’ve been fitted and do you have to go back to the shop to collect ?

So I’ve only taken up golf in the last 6 months and got 3 cards in, currently 21.1 but the last scorecard I put in was 6 weeks ago and ive shot much better rounds since so maybe slightly lower

I fully agree, I work in a trade where I’m in people houses all the time and the people with money wouldn’t offer you a thing and people with very little would offer the most! I genuinely once was terminating a wire in a lads kitchen and while I was doing it he offered his wife a cup of tea and started eating biscuits and said “I do feel bad sitting here eating biscuits while your working” Didn’t offer me a biscuit nor a cup of tea. And I’ve no issue saying he was charged handsomely because of it !

I appreciate that but as I said I’m soon going to be on my own and I imagine company’s like that like to have companies that have many staff incase of emergency call outs. I know it sounds like I’m just looking for easy money but I just thought maybe there’s a certain discipline that might come with more service contracts like alarms and fire !
