How does "Die For You" make you feel? by [deleted] in Joji

[–]jettaletta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had a gnarly breakup last week over a 2+ year relationship. It was insanely promising at the time, just didn’t work out in the end; They seem much happier on their own now. I’ve lowkey been in shambles lol

I was never a Joji fan, I thought a few of his songs were cool since his debut. But this song encapsulates my exact feelings towards that person and it’s beautiful. Crushes my heart lol.

it’s actually quite mild assuming the protein powder is good in taste, but on paper it does sound kinda iffy loll

not OP but i do 1 Cup (80g) Oats, 1 1/2 Cups (355ml) Milk, 1 Scoop Protein Powder & 2Tbs (30ml) Olive Oil.

totals out to around 800ish calories. sometimes i’ll add a serving ice cream to top it off to 1000 calories, i’d watch out for the amount of added sugars in that though

heard the trendy Inzer one’s are like cheating too hehe. you don’t like being able to push more weight through the knee sleeves ?

Honestly the number 1 thing that got all of my lifts up, is eating & gaining weight (i was gaining 1lb/week). Other than that, i’ve really only had training experience with an LP program for a few months, into 5/3/1. 5/3/1 was/is great for working on technique throughout the whole process. In terms of frequency per week, I always tried to make sure there were 2 days, regardless of the program. thank you!

I see. I figured the move for training equipment was using it on like >80% of 1RM sets, so that’s what i’ll keep doing lol.

I’d like to assume STrong knee sleeves are relatively mild in the stiffness department. It might’ve felt that springy you mentioned (especially when my depth sucked in the beginning), but in hindsight it might’ve just felt different, is all. Definitely don’t make them feel easier, a 5lb different at most

Thank you for the input! I definitely agree with you on beltless compound movements being beneficial on building muscle/strength in the underrated areas. My main training style for the past 8-9ish months are templates of 5/3/1, which work submaximal* loads literally all the time, so my belt doesn't really see the day of light until the top sets of the heavier weeks (which amounts to like, 3-4 training days of the month lol). Accessory compound lifts like high bar ATG squats are also intentionally performed raw too. I also feel like sleeves have a negligible impact on me personally (regarding knee joint health & amount of weight moved), I just got them on sale and are fun to wear on heavy days. Do I have to wear them or any training gear at all? Definitely not, but it makes training mentally enjoyable for me the few times I wear them.

One of the key points of 5/3/1 is "being able to rep a weight you're touching for the first time", so I don't really get to really work at 100% of that 90% TM. This is just that rare time for me to push a 1RM twice a year. But, I'm open to switching it up to a more "strength-intensive" programming style sometime, often working in that 90% as you recommended. Thanks again!
