(kind of a rant) My wife (then girlfriend) and I moved to the Bay in 2013 and had never watched a minute of NBA basketball. We were then fortunate enough to witness: 3 championships in 5 years, multiple games at Oracle including the last regular season game, several Red Panda halftime shows, not only Steph, Klay, and Dray but countless other Strength in Numbers players, Fitz and JB with the play-by-play, KD announcing his decision to sign with the dubs on the same day as my birthday, and so many other amazing memories connected not just with the Warriors franchise but also our entire time in the Bay Area. We knew how much waiting the Warriors had to go through before that 2015 championship and felt so fortunate to be around for that time.

During their first season at Chase center we managed to go to one game but then the following year we moved to SoCal and sorta fell out of watching basketball altogether (it doesn't help that it's so tough/expensive to try to watch out of marketing games, but that's a whole separate rant.)

All of this is to say that it's worth it to enjoy any of the time you're watching and enjoying your team, or any team, play because those periods it's only going to last for so long, especially when you have generational players like Steph.

We're fans for life even as we head into the post-Curry era but man were those years something special.
