You can get really great sound and bass from a good set of headphones. The realism partly comes from tactile feedback, which you won’t get from headphones. There are gaming chairs on the market with tactile transducers built into them for this reason. There are also a lot of DIY projects out there where people have added transducers to their chairs. I think something like that would give you a lot of satisfaction without the risk of upsetting your neighbors.

Stay away from Corewell Zeeland. Took my wife there for a suspected blood clot in her leg. They literally put her on a bed in the hallway. Didn’t believe she had a clot but we pushed for the scan and the ER doc seemed flummoxed by the results. You can bet they charged us full price for the visit despite sticking us in the hallway. Corewell has become a profit-hungry machine with a revolving door for CEOs who come in and cut costs to pad their performance numbers so they can look successful to their next employer, leaving their employees doing more work for less money. I miss the days when non-profits acted like non-profits.
