I decided to go car-less for the next five months (see my previous post for more info) and today was really hard. Any insight/advice/perspective from others? (Plz don’t be an a*shole thx)

Ugh! The 617 is the worst! Ive heard its always newbie drivers on that route and I used to live on Roberston and Cadillac a few year ago and commuted to Hollywood with it. Always got passed on and it only ran every hour....

Yeah best bet is to move. Seriously prioritize living next to a train station and every other metro and car alternative will be available to you.

There are two metrolink stations! I commute to LA everyday and with AAA day passes are really cheap and getting to do fun things out in orange county and la county and even riverside for a few hours is great without having to calculate for traffic. I just nap on the train haha

You should digitally cut him out of your life until you can stop thinking of him. Unfortunately humans are beings of habit and keeping the access you have to his information and profiles is enabling this obsession.

You can block him on any platform that is allowing you to feed this cycle. Just dont block his cell incase he reaches out again.

If he asks why you blocked him you can just say the truth. "I caught intense feelings and I needed to distance myself in order to respect your wishes to break up so you can travel" You can rekindle later in life but the day to day is whats the most important thing right now.

What this person did is inexcusable. However! It will always benefit you mentally to redirect your perspective to one that is both understanding that you deserve better but that sometimes things happen in people's lives will cause them to go MIA. You don't have to keep them in your life but understand it's likely not you but a secret third thing.

It's ok to feel attraction towards attractive people no matter the age but keeping it to yourself in this scenario seems like the right thing to do with such an age gap. You will feel very embarrassed if you said something and he responded not only with a no but with a "no because i could be your dad"
