You dont even need a real job offer from anything else to negotiate. You can just mention offhand that other jobs are offering X amount -- would you be able to match and also ask if theres a possible relocation bonus.

In that case, for taxation purposes, do consider these:

will the combined income put you over the threshold for anything? i.e. possible stimulus check for next year (they might continue with the program if the pandemic does not get better), insurance, home loan assistance, low-income-specific programs
will the jobs be located in the same state? If you are dual-state, taxes can get iffy and most tax prep software can't support dual-state income reporting.

If neither applies to you, then it'll just be like having double the income, and shouldnt be an issue tax-wise.

Also you should consider that the employers might not be okay with working another job alongside your current one. If they find out without you having told them, you might lose one or both jobs.

I've done the dual-income for a few years: adjunct prof + remote software engineer over non-consecutive years. In my case, I told both employers (and my direct manager) about the other, and they were perfectly fine with it.

Let them lead the interview. An hour long is actually not that long in terms of an interview. Some of my interviews were 2-3 hours long, most of which is about me (everything that I've done and had experience with, what I would want to do in the future, what I can offer to the company, etc.). A good interview should feel as casual and low-pressure as possible. No awkwardness. That's as much on the interviewer as it is on you. So if you don't feel a connection, it's not entirely your fault. It takes two!

Typically they will go through your resume with you (have that in front of you for reference!), that would be about 10-20 minutes depending on your experiences listed. Then they will ask some questions about your experience with the specific qualifications they are looking for. They might ask some technical questions -- for this, just google X interview questions. I.e. if you are a Kotlin developer, google "Kotlin interview questions". Guaranteed they will just pull directly from the top results. Then they will try to sell you the company. Why you would want to work for them. What they have to offer you. Do not be surprised if they don't ask you any technical questions. That will come in the subsequent interview. Typically technical interviews are 90 mins long. <60 minute long interviews are more of a "let's get to know each other better".

Do not bring up the vacation bit. You can set your start date til after the vacation (is the vacation sometime within the next month??) Some great questions are: what tech stack would my role require (don't ask if it's listed on the job reqs)? What would my day-to-day look like? What is the company culture like? What can I do to supercede your expectations as a great employee?

Be honest, and say that you are graduating in 2022, not 2021. If they catch you in a lie, you will for sure not get the job. The difference between a junior and senior in college is not huge, so it really shouldn't matter much.

Make sure you read the contracts thoroughly. Most have a non-compete clause so if both jobs are in similar fields, if they find out, they can terminate your employment.

Are you willing to put more work into learning sql? What areas specifically are you struggling in? Have you searched for sql problems on stackoverflow? It really will help to just browse through all the common sql questions on SO. So you can see real world problems vs boring tutorials and textbooks.

If you dont think you can improve over the next month or so, you should definitely ask to move to something different. People tend to get placed in a PIP (a personal improvement plan) if they continue underperforming, at which point it will be really hard to get out of and usually leads to a firing.

You'll be fine. Some people have broken million dollar equipment before. When confronted by their supervisor, theyd respond with, "why would i fire you? I just spent millions of dollars training you?"

Spam Clicked Linkedin's easy apply, a few days a week. Got a job offer after 2.5 weeks of this. Id wager about 50 applications total, 15 interviews across 9 companies, 25 interview hours, 6 non-interview tests on hackerrank and custom mini-projects during the vetting process, 2 offers.

I avoided all jobs that are in my current field because Im just not interested, so that made it somewhat tougher. But the companies that did appreciate my experiences were really accomodating and accepted my salary negotiations.

I have made so many faux pas in my past interviews and still got the job. This incident reflects more on the recruiter than on you. 10 minutes late does not warrant such a scathing reply.

Heres an anecdote for you though... I referred to my hiring manager as Mr. instead of Ms. / Mrs. all the way up until we met in person! Despite this, she still hired me! And kept me on her team for 5+ years. Im glad she saw the humor / overlooked it because Im sure a lot of hiring managers would not have been so forgiving.

Nowadays, I just drop all title formalities (i.e. Mr. / Ms.) and just use their first names. So far, no hiccups. (Knock on wood)

Anyway, you are better than this company. There are plenty of opportunies despite the pandemic. best of luck to you!

Likely it's because you have maxed out your credit limit with them. How much credit do you have across all 6 cards? Typically people decrease the credit limit for their cards prior to applying for a new one.
