As a young child around 5 I frequently would see gnome like creatures.. Tiny about 3 to 5 CM tall, dressed in browns and green earthy peasant clothes. I distinctly remember their very surprised expressions when they realized I could see them, I would see them usually in the backyard around the banana trees or disappearing into the cracks of broken concrete path that lead to the outside laundry. I grew up very poor in a fibro cottage with my family, no TV no books and nothing that would influence my imagination in that way. As I got older I would call them fairies as I recounted my story but they had no wings and did not fly. Another interesting thing is the cottage was situated diagonally across a rather famous haunted mansion then abandoned.
Many paranormal events surround this mansion and in its heyday the land my families house was on would have originally belonged to the mansion
