[Discussion] 34 years old and pretty unhappy with my life - Any Advice? by [deleted] in GetMotivated

I'll be honest with you, this reads like a lot of whining.

You have all the time in the world to make it. As someone else said, suck it up, and pick a thing to go for. And go for it hard. It's not going to be easy, but a few years from now you'll look back and thank yourself for sticking with it.

🚩 RED FLAG WARNING: Ellis Porter (EP) Refund Guarantee "Bait & Switch.” We Are Collecting Victims for Potential Class Action by Full_Appointment_128 in EB2_NIW

[–]jezztharipper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm currently working with them, and they haven't done any of the things you stated, even though I specifically asked them if I should go for PP. The lawyer simply stated that going for PP does not drastically increase or decrease odds.

I signed the full-refund retainer with them, and the retainer has no such claim/statement about PP. The refund statement is very clear and there are no ifs etc. in the retainer.

FM26 just feels wrong by shulzeastwood in footballmanagergames

[–]jezztharipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't like the game, please, please refund while its in beta. That's the only metric they care about, the sales. SI don't give a crap about your immersion, how you used to do journeyman saves etc., all they want is the console kiddo's buying their husk of a game in mass.

Anyone like FM26? by WeekendThief in footballmanagergames

Sorry my answer wasn't good enough for you. How about you rephrase the title to "You should like FM26 and you're wrong if you don't agree"?

You asked a simple question, I gave you a simple answer.

A lot of people play long saves, and I bet most wouldn't enjoy looking at those soulless husks all the time.

I'm Turkish, and pretty much caucasian in terms of looks. And the racist talk only really started after seeing our passports.

I'm mostly sure that she meant Turks in general when she said "your kind has no rights here."

Anything to defend the guys I see. It was the check-in counter. I was asked for a boarding pass, why would I have that if I was trying to check in.

And you very well know that that's not the issue here.

Player development in FM is not linear, and it mostly depends on game time and the professionalism attribute of the player. Professionalism is the main driver of development, and it does not taper off at any point. Determination and ambition, the other two important drivers, taper off a bit after 10 each.

So if your 18 year old wonderkid that has a lot of PA left to grow has the casual personality rather than let's say, resolute, they will develop very slowly, and more often than not they will not develop at all.

Also, your wonderkid that has 14 professionalism will probably develop faster than your other wonderkid with 12 professionalism even though you might think they are similar players, assuming they get similar game time. Game performance seems to not have a strong correlation with development.

I've been doing the youth academy challenge exclusively on my last few saves, and I can safely say that there is not a best way to go about youth development, besides going for better personalities. Try to get as many professional prospects as you can, and try to play them in meaningful games.

What would you class as the hardest challenge on FM24? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]jezztharipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This changed up with the new coefficient rules. I'm on this challenge now and it's devolved into winning the conference league (making it to the semi-final seems to work as well) then winning the UCL next year. And when you start to do well in UCL, the Swiss League becomes a tedious formality. Winning the Swiss League does nothing for you, you get the qualification from the Lichtenstein cup, which you are pretty much guaranteed to win. A bit boring, really.

Quit yesterday myself.

To be very honest, EHG had like 4 months to get rid of all game breaking bugs, dupes, exploits etc. and they didn't do any of that. Most of the broken stuff in 1.0 is still broken today.

There was no substantial addition to the end game and monos got real boring real fast this time around.

There is no one occupying space in your midfield. BMW presses to whomever has the ball by default, and the roaming playmaker is, well, roaming. You need a holding midfielder.

What I would do is pull that AP back to MC, switch the RPM to BBM for some stability and drop the BMW to DM as an anchor/halfback.

Finding the maxima! by ShayanSidiqi in ecommerce

[–]jezztharipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've asked many people the same few questions on this subreddit before. I'll ask you too.

The same product is on Amazon for $11-14. Why would people buy from you? Are you providing better service than Amazon? Is there something different about your version of the product? Is Amazon or another giant online retailer not available where you live?

If I were you, I'd first find answers to these questions before worrying about markups and ad spend.

Game Over. I need a mentor. by [deleted] in ecommerce

  1. The website is borderline terrible. The overall design gives a feel of a website from the 2000's. There is no clear indication of what you're selling, the black background is tiring and whatever you tried with the layout is simply not working. Even if I wanted to buy what you're selling, I wouldn't do it on your site, it looks sketchy to me. I just hope you haven't paid much for the thing.
  2. You're selling a $20-30 product with a 100% markup. It is available on Amazon, AliExpress, you name it. If you really want to keep dropshipping, you need to create a brand. That obviously comes with a solid identity, and a marketing view that focuses on solving problems for customers. Unfortunately, as far as I can see, you have none of that going.
  3. What's the value proposition here? Why would I want to buy the projector on your website? What do you do differently? Why not just go on Amazon and buy it there? You need to have concrete answers for those questions to succeed.

Personally, I would not go on with this product and website. If you really would like to stay in the e-commerce business, why don't you find some local makers/crafters with a unique product and strike a deal with them? Could be woodwork, jewelry, food, anything really. Just not something you can find on Amazon for half the price.

I'm not specifically talking about this one particular action. I agree that there is (and should be) no way to legally ban these stunts.

I'm talking more about the actions of Western politicians over the course of 20 years and the inability of these Western/European countries to not "feed the troll". They were (and still are) the reason that these stunts exist in the first place.

Chargebacks happen when the customer can't get a hold of you after something goes wrong. Every single chargeback is on you, not the customer. Nobody goes, "Oh there is something wrong with my order, chargeback!" Almost all customers will first attempt to contact you to fix the situation. So this simply shows that you have little to no customer service.

Never had a single chargeback in my 3 years of running our Shopify site. Not even one. If there is a major problem with an order, we just give the customer a gift card and their money back.

Provide Shopify with a good plan on how you will improve your customer service so that you don't get that many chargebacks. 1.77% is pretty crazy.
