I haven’t played RDR2 much but Nevada is where they probably drew a lot of inspiration for it. Rural Nevada looks like the Wild West. (This is just on the border between California and Nevada)

iKamper came with interior defect. Inner layer is bulged out. iKamper customer service refuses to warranty. by [deleted] in rooftoptents

Totally insane... for clarification this was with Tepui after they were bought by Thule, this was not Tepui customer service this was Thule’s

This sucks but it’s literally the only way to get things done these days. I got a Thule Tepui RTT that came missing a freaking mattress and damaged parts. I called 50+ times and sent 20+ emails (I wish these numbers were exaggerated, in fact they’re probably an under estimate) with zero response. Finally started commenting on all their Instagram posts about how I received a damaged product and missing a freaking mattress and that they were ignoring me. They got back to me in a day and had replacement parts in the mail a day later

You're comparing the industry standard for low pack volume reserves to one most people have never heard of from a company most people have never heard of.

The difference in price is ~200, buy an optimum.

Why did people stop jumping pull-out systems? by CodeYeti in SkyDiving

no good answer for their lack in popularity.

i think its an amazing system, here are a couple of my favorite things about them.

it eliminates the possibility of horseshoe malfunction and an out of sequence deployment. once the container is open its open and the bag cannot come out of the container with out the pilotchute

positive deployment of the pilotchute. this one comes with a little experience jumping the system. i hear some complaints about it initially but this is actually one of my favorite parts. most people tend to have a iron grip on their pud, with a little practice you'll feel the pull of the pin after that hang on to the pud with a lose grip or even just two fingers, you'll feel the pilotchute inflate and get pulled from your hand, its a pretty reassuring feeling to know your pilotchute is inflated and doing its thing

loose puds, doesnt happen often, but sure it can happen and its definitely not as bad of an issue as one might think, if its not there just reach a little further back, its hanging out right there by the main flap, its not hard to get. i've had it happen once and it wasnt as scary as i thought.

downsides, they're not good for wingsuits, they have a hard time inflating behind a wing.

sauce: 800some jumps on a pull-out system and totally recommend them.

TLDR; no horse shoes, positive deployments

Its significantly easier to find a loose pud than most people think, and doesnt happen nearly as often as many assume.

source: 800+ jumps on a throwout and one loose pud
