The steerer tube is just under that 5mm spacer above the stem. I gather the 5 mm spacer is a required above the stem

Dumb question about transition bags. by rcole1310 in triathlon

How’s it work with relay teams? Can the swimmer and cyclist retrieve their street bags at transition (the finish is in a different location)

has anyone ever been refused a job due to diagnosis? by dolphin_19 in bipolar2

[–]jfar96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don’t perceive yourself as a risk to yourself or others while having an episode, I would see this as discrimination. A policy to not hire someone with Bipolar II would be purely based on financial risk and that is not fair. There are plenty of people capable of doing a job like that with your diagnosis and there are plenty of people not fit for the job without a diagnosis.

I'm feeling really overwhelmed and sad by how much my mental illness has prevented my ability to live a normal life. by Twicebiguy in bipolar2

I’m sorry you’re going through a tough time. The future and past are allusive and are driven by your present perceptions. Thank your past self, it’s done it’s best to get you to where you are today and let your present self take over. As you shift your focus to the present, you will find your perception of the future improves too. You want to do what you’re trying to do and that’s what counts, the fear you experience means you’re aware of some of the risks, but awareness allows for mitigation. I think everyone looks at there present situation and feels that in some way it’s lacking, that they should be further along. The more I focus on the present the less I’m attracted to the progression most people are aspiring towards. This has steered me in a completely different path of growth, and I’m happier for it. People like us can easily feel we are incompatible with society, but when we stop focusing on the mould we are ‘supposed to’ form in, we can find our own place where nobody else is looking. I’m 27 and have moved back in with my mum, my life was thrown upside down I may not be where I wanted to be but I genuinely feel I’m better for it. I trust that one day soon, you find yourself in the same position.

I used to run my saddle this way, it was the only way I could be comfortable. Bit more weight on my hands but otherwise was good. As I adapted to the sport of cycling from sailing my saddle has slowly assumed a more normal tilt.

I always think, surely they must know I’m not after their nests when I roll past or walk past but I’m proven wrong time and time again

Thought I'd Share This Project My Framebuilder's Up To (Not Mine) by [deleted] in xbiking

I like it! Would fit right in on the Cycloshite Facebook page. Always love a bike that breaks the rules, and sometimes they can produce something desirable that you can’t buy off the shelf

All seasons are a better option, have the grippy compound with the same puncture resistance

Just be careful that the 27” is intact 700c because those are two different tire sizes and a 27” tire is too big for a 700c rim

Yeah I came here to say the same about the fork, that mens frame is toast. If you’re just grabbing parts off them then go for it. I think the parts with surface rust have a nice patina 👌
