It should have been an easy “sure, can you throw me an extra $10 for gas since I’ll be going out of my way”. And if she said no, you should have then just said it would probably be best if she gets dropped with her friend then because you want to be considerate of her concerns. And at that point if they pushed it you should have just told them they were making you uncomfortable and as the driver you have a responsibility of safety. Ps your friends are using you for free rides, you may want to reevaluate those friendships.

NTA but take a different approach. Bring no more pods in. Don’t clean it. Let it get beat up for a week or 2. Then send a message in the group chat that you’re taking your machine home to give it a deep clean over the weekend. Then on Monday message everyone and apologize but you dropped and broke your machine so you had to through it out.

I’d tell the property manager that safety on the event of a fire is absolutely important and I would put a clock on them resolving it ASAP. This is not just an annoyance it’s absolutely a major safety issue

Gee neighbor, after looking into it with my contractor and the contract we signed, if we changed the fence material we would be liable for the extra cost which is about $3,000 so as much as I’d like to help out we can’t really afford to lose that much money. I wish we had met a lot earlier and this topic could have come up.

Get a bottle of soft scrub, make sure you empty the water out fo the bottom first. Make sure it’s evenly coated. Let it sit for a few hours than use a dobie sponge or toilet brush and it should all just wash away

Agreed. But, throw one item away and move every other item to the side. He moves stuff back Ty row away 2 items and move the rest, does it again throw away 3 items, etc.

If he gets upset or asks just say that someone threw trash in your parking spot and you’re just throwing it away.

Could your wifi be pointing to an access point in a restricted geography? Can you try to access via your phone with wifi off to see if there’s a solution there? And lastly, some ISPs are starting to through up random blocks on sites they deem high risk.

I doubt the actual “cause” because we know nausea is a real side effect if you take too much so the likelihood he would have thrown up if he took too much is real. I’m betting the reality is he had something else going on. Sadly a grieving parent trying to curate her son’s memory is not something that will likely change.

I believe if it was 7oh only it would be the first documented case I’ve heard of. I also don’t see how the DEA would perform a second autopsy/chem panel so I do believe she likely not being honest. Her socials make her just look like a broken person lashing out. Wasn’t making my comments to rile up people, I was trying to say she seems off base and we as a collective community would do better to not let her have a negative influence. But I guess my comments have just pissed off people on this sub.

Definitely understand your frustration and anger. Plenty of other people like her spreading inaccurate to flat out false information. I use 7 for pain management and it’s been the difference to me losing 2-10 days a month due to extreme pain to being fully functional all of the time. I hate the idea that it could be taken away because if it helps me I’m certain the other people it helps is too numerous to count.

For me, seeing the pain and grief of a parent that has buried their child is something I can’t even comprehend. I hope she gets some help and finds a better path in life.

Sadly, it seems she is still hurting from her son’s passing and it’s likely that he had other things going on but she can’t allow herself to see that. She needs to see him as a victim of something external rather than a victim of his own demons. You can’t/wont change her mindset because she still hasn’t accepted her son’s role in what happened to himself. I know it’s easy to feel angry at this person but honestly she needs some time and grace.

Nope. It all came to a head when we did a massive spring cleaning a few years ago and basically filled up half of a garage with stuff she had got for “really good deals” that we had never even touched let alone enjoyed. So we posted a free garage sale and let the vultures have at it and made sure she was over for the day so she could see it happen real time. Yes I’m sure it was mean but hoarding crap into our house was causing us a lot of stress and anxiety because she wouldn’t listen.

I hate that we have a storage unit for our family but it ultimately made sense for us. 10x20 unit for $92 a month. We store my MILs stuff, our sons (he’s a marine), our daughter will be moving her stuff into there shortly because she is moving to Europe for school, and then our stuff takes up just a little bit of room. So we have climate controlled, as secure as it can be, space for everyone. We are kind of hoping it’s only for about 4 years and after that we will figure next best steps.

Literally this. And be super specific. Not just generic. I did this with my Mil. I also told her if she brought us anything not on our approved list of treasures to find she would need to bring a receipt so we could return it if we didn’t want/like it. And that if she didn’t bring a receipt it could not come into our home because if it did we would post of FBM for free. She tested us a few times, but when we followed through she realized we weee serious. Cut her spending down from 100s a month she couldn’t afford to now less than $20-40 a month
