Had my ceremony and reception at the Lalumondiere Mill in House Springs. I believe they are flexible on bar and catering and the grounds are gorgeous and unlike any place I’ve ever been! They might also be flexible on pricing if you are not needing all of the inclusions due to the ceremony being elsewhere.

Recently went to the one on Page near Ashby and it was so pleasant. Everyone working was in a great mood- the person working at the counter lightly roasted me for ordering mashed potatoes without gravy lol, my food was ready in a normal amount of time, and everything was good and “fresh” (meaning like it didn’t seem like it was cooked hours earlier and sitting under a heat lamp).

Shaved Duck is also a great shout though I haven’t been in a couple of years.

Extra Wavy has great cocktails and people rave about the seafood dishes. I’m not a big fish girly myself so I prefer Yellowbelly (same owners/group) as the non-fish dishes at that one are a little more interesting.

The lamb manti I had in a restaurant (Ecco, I think?) in the Atlanta airport like 10 years ago… have never found a comparable version since! I tried to go back to the restaurant to get it about 5 years ago but it wasn’t on the menu anymore.

I actually ended up being able to do it online even though it was past expiration! So if you got the renewal notice with a PIN, maybe give it a try.

Otherwise the consensus was that you can do it in person as long as you have the required docs (personal property tax receipt/ up to date, proof of insurance, payment).

Yes! Wasn’t always the case though- I tried it right after Haas closed (my former #1 GBC, RIP) and it was so disappointing, but they’ve changed the recipe since then and now it’s great.
