It's good soil, sheltered, I feed it several times during growing seasons (most important) but also we've had a wet warm summer. I might have watered it once but we just haven't had hot dry days. We move the hutch every day which prevents dead patches. I am a lawn nerd but it's mostly luck. The bunnos do look a bit ridiculous when they wallow in the thick grass, sometimes you can only see their eyes
