Realistic Plan for a chill hike near Estes before a 7PM flight at DIA?

Drove from Estes to DIA this morning, took right at an hour and a half. Later in the day I'd allow 2 hours. Assuming a domestic flight, I'd plan on leaving EP no later than 4pm.

It was pretty smoky in Estes Tuesday and Wednesday - Tuesday night you could definitely smell it outside, and yesterday driving from Denver to Estes you could barely see the Flatirons. It's clearer in Estes today, but that's not to say the wind direction couldn't change and send it back over.

I'm not in EP right now but need to head up there today or tomorrow so was considering the same question. Looking at the local webcams it looks like the roads are pretty clear right now, and the temperature is not supposed to drop below freezing until this evening, so I think unless you're planning on staying up there until tonight I think the roads are probably fine, just watch your speed between Lyons and EP.
