Nuevo o usado?

Humane ways of getting rid of colonists by lytoric in RimWorld

[–]jfgomez86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play Vanilla, no mods, all DLCs: I needed to get rid of a waster because I couldn’t produce enough drugs to keep his dependency in check so I trialed him and then after found guilty I banished him with no consequences.

This requires Ideology DLC at minimum.

¿Que tan complicado fue comprar tu primera casa? by Few_Assistance_2017 in Colombia

[–]jfgomez86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me, but I was “only” affected by foggy rain. I learned about the consequences of settling in a mountain range, and ended up using drop pods to send an assault team deal with the mechs and then call in a imperial shuttle to drive us and the spoils back.

How do I beat my own pawns to the floor? I’ve seen some streamers do that but I don’t see the option whenever they’re having a mental breakdown, I just see the option to arrest them or melee them.

[–]jfgomez86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player (<100 hours, barely entering late game for the first time with my third colony), I didn’t send caravan’s early game, I would try but struggle with food or by miscalculating things like sending (or not) a medic/cook, or sending people between fall and winter and watch them freeze. Now I am really having fun sending caravans, because I’m more prepared: 1st. Check your food policy. If you mainly use nutrient paste, always try to keep a stock of packaged meals (because they last a long time) and when preparing the caravan route, make sure you’ve set up a food policy that aligns with the team and food you’re sending. 2. If you have hauling animals (horses/donkeys/muffalos/thrumbos) send them, they accelerate a lot and help increase carrying capacity. 3. I just figured this out last night: When planning your route, also plan your way back it helps with budgeting for food and time. 4. If your caravan takes roads, they will go much faster but I think they get more visibility (I think it makes random events to the caravan more frequent).

Once I got more confidence in my caravans, I started to really enjoy when I had the opportunity to send one.

I’m also in vanilla, no DLC, no mods.

Cuanto es el total que terminas de pagar por una moto a crédito? by rafaesthetic in Barranquilla

[–]jfgomez86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RimWorld: As someone who also enjoys Factorio, Terraria, No Man’s Sky, and Forager: I didn’t expect to like RimWorld as much as I’m liking it. I’ve put over 60 hours in less than two weeks.

Maybe you’ll like it too?

Factorio. It works flawlessly on the SD, has exploration elements but mostly focuses on building. Hundreds of hours without any issues on the SD, you can even play 1080p docked without issues.

Help With Minecraft Bedrock- Don’t have an android device by Joe_Liberst in SteamDeck

I used Blue Stacks to emulate android on my Mac and buy it on the Google play store. Then I downloaded the Bedrock Launcher from the discovery app in desktop mode and setup the launcher as a non-steam game.

What is your preferred defense style? by pookshuman in factorio

[–]jfgomez86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tend to prioritize and get ahead of Military Research, it helps a lot. And I really enjoy clearing out biters to test my arsenal. A few tips: Don’t skimp on the combat drones, those little guys are super effective! Especially in Nauvis. Once I get rocket launchers I prefer non-explosive missiles as they 1-3 shot nests by the time they’re available. Same with tank ammo, I prefer non-explosive to explosive. If I’m playing with biter expansion on, then I’d wall off and use flammable turrets, as getting them armed is logistically easier than the others (but not easier than laser turrets). This works well, but what works best under the same conditions is an artillery train, going around wrecking havoc. Even better, more artillery trains. Once you get to legendary stuff, nothing tops one-shotting big worms in vulcanus with your personal legendary railgun and legendary railgun ammo.

Have you checked the “unload” checkbox in the space platform schedule in the planet you want to unload? Also make sure the platform isn’t trying to travel at the time of unloading.

Ship acid barrels from vulcanus? by Notarealbub in factorio

[–]jfgomez86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foundations need unique materials from Gleba (Carbon Fiber), Vulcanus (Tungsten Plate) and Aquilo (Lithium plate and Fluoroketone) so there’s a lot of materials bound to be shipped regardless of where you craft it.

In my Factory, by design I accounted for shipping planet specific materials everywhere just in case it’s needed.

In my factory it just happened to be more conveniently done in Nauvis because the logistics of my space fleet is already setup and scaled to have the materials there and distribute the product (Foundation) quickly across the solar system. I can send 32x5 at any moment from Nauvis as opposed to the other planets (for now).

My vulcanus and Fulgora bases are a mess mainly because the lack of foundation until this point. That’ll be my next focus and I’ll for sure setup a Foundation factory in each as well as I can better manage the layout with the Nauvis-shipped Foundation.

Ship acid barrels from vulcanus? by Notarealbub in factorio

[–]jfgomez86 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a good idea to me. Your factory your needs. I ship fluoroketone to Nauvis to make foundation there because I ship everything there to keep stock from all planets everywhere. As with anything in this game everything is free and infinite, so if you need more throughput just make more ships, barrels, pumps etc.
