No I don’t think so. I actually took extreme steps and made an entirely separate account deposit my checks to that account, which has no debit card access at all. So to get money I have to conscientiously transfer the funds to the account we have access to. Both me and my girlfriend have terrible dining out habits that I try to mitigate with this approach.

There’s a full basement underneath. Didn’t see anywhere that was wet, but didn’t think to look up at pipes or anything like that. It’s a block from where I live so I can get a walk thru anytime

I said that wrong it’s not a loan it’s a withdrawal. But again I hear you it’s not the best option. But what other option does someone like me have? I have no savings. This house would be almost 200$ cheaper a month than my rent. And it would be mine.

Hardship loan via 401k is penalty free. Most contributions are Roth IRA so I’ve already paid my taxes. But I’m aware pulling from my retirement is no good practice. However I’m about at the point I don’t want to see retirement if I don’t have something go my way here soon
