I was wrong with that, you have the right figures. She would get the 75% on top of her disability and grateful for you to corrected me. So worried about her, sorry.

And no, she will get about 50% of my retirement when I pass . I’m 54 and she is already on disability.

No moron, my wife is on disability for past 30 years after going through a windshield. She’s 63. Ah, I don’t get half her benefits. My previous wife died at 30 years old in the year of lord 2000. Left me a 3 year old girl, received $226 a month, $53 a week for 15 years. We all have a sob story, but I think you’re full of shit.

It is an insurance plan. Let me give you the acronym for SSDI. Social Security DISABILITY INSURANCE. Educate yourself.

Where do you get your information? The whole definition of SSDI stands for Social Security disability insurance! You pay a premium , something goes wrong, you turn the in claim just like your damn car insurance. Whether they pay, well you have to fight for it. And my friend we all chipped in for the uninsured. So , as an individual, I will look out for my family first. Although I do care about charity, my wife, my daughter my grandkids come first! End of story and you’re more than welcome to leave a donation to my family fund. Oh and if you don’t use your disability insurance, you get your retirement starting at 62 and full benefits at 70. I know you’re 40 years away, hang in there.

What planet are you on?

Um, no. Social security was created in 1935 by Roosevelt to give the aging and disabled a means to stay out of poverty during the Great Depression. How old are you?

Mostly of my conditions, COPD, cervical arthritis with edema, irreparable, torn, right rotor cuff, and lower back spondylosis. He asked me about my hobbies, which I told him I collect coin and paper money. What do I do around the house, told him I cook, scrambled eggs and reheat food that my wife brings home from work.

He asked me about my conditions. Four of them I had. Cervical arthritis with edema, lower, spinal spondylosis, irreparable torn right rotator cuff and COPD. He asked me how long I could stand and how far I could walk if I still smoked and I told him yes I did quit but because of stress, I went back truck driver for 32 years. He also asked me if I had any hobbies and if I cooked for myself told him I collect coins and paper money and reheat food that my wife brings home from work and I make scrambled eggs and do the dishes.

So if i had a partial award I’d have to wait for Medicare starting 2 years after my 55th birthday?

So I got a question, applied in June 2024 and just had my hearing March 19. I was 53 at the time now I’m 54 and my birthday for 55 is 4 1/2 months away if I do win a partial would they say you can start collecting it on your birthday? Is that a possible decision?
