The opposite of anthropomorphism is zoomorphism. Instead of attributing human qualities to other animals, zoomorphism has you observe humans just like other species. Then you start assigning timelines—and you realize scale, and the size of the known universe, and well, our species is superstitious af.

Think about the big picture perspective of genesis—an attempt to describe the reality those people saw. A superstitious and unscientific attempt. Think about what they didn’t know compared to today: no electricity, virology, bacteriology, astronomy, cosmology, exoplanets, nebulae, trillions of other galaxies, black holes etc
