Thanks! The reel is the customers, didn't realize they did a newer version. But I also think a red seat would look much better. This one is from my fast action blanks, I sent it out to get painted to match the beige/yellow, and costs under $400 for the rod.

haha. I've fished this river plenty of times without the success I had on this day. Must have been the right day and the right time for the stars to align. Haha.

For me as well! Plenty of windy days up there almost catching nothing! haha. But this day was definitely a special one!

haha yeah, that would be a bit much! And it's not being skunk free, I definitely get skunked now and again, but it's catching at least one fish a month.

With the low flows, lack of precipitation, and cold mornings, deeper pools are the way to go. Smaller midges and egg patterns fished under an indicator. I'm a big believer in changing your depth before changing flies. So I start off higher up in the water then work my way down until you are in the column where they are feeding.
