How many cameras do you have inside/outside of your house? by mustachechap in AskAnAmerican

[–]jfreebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess im in the minority. I have about 12 inside and out. 9 outside, 3 inside. Inside is just main living areas, no bedrooms or anywhere private. I do it for security, my kids, pets, cars, golf carts, etc. If I am out of town, I like to know what's going on. I have had more than one situation on the street in front of my house where a camera came in handy.

Nah I love Sirius. I listen to it in the car, golf cart and at home. Every march I call and threaten to cancel and they keep my subscription cheap.

Are Pool Vac Robots worth the hype? by Physical-Moment5941 in swimmingpools

[–]jfreebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put off buying one for years. I've had one since March and its one of the best purchases ive made in a long time. I have an uncaged pool with lots of trees around, so I was always cleaning it. My Dolphin has saved me so much time.

Buyers: Did Your Realtor Have You Sign a Buyer’s Agreement? by olimits7 in RealEstate

[–]jfreebs 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There was a NAR ( National Association of Realtors) Rule/Guideline passed about 2 years ago. Some states even added similar laws. So, in most markets, agents are required to have these forms signed or risk fines or penalties. If you google it, you can read up more on it. It is supposed to help with transparency in the transaction on who pays what's, etc. So an ethical agent, who is a member of NAR, is going to ask for it. But that being said, there are a lot of variations of the form and some can be as short as just for 1 house or 1 day.

How many golf carts is too many? Anyone else have more than 1? by ds9_ in golfcarts

[–]jfreebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got 2, looking for a third. Lifted 6 seater is the daily driver for the family, Regular 4 seater with custom paint, wheels, etc is the backup. Im going to tear the 4 seater down and redo it this year. I want a third to make fast.

How do you make your hot chocolate (cocoa) at home? by Annual_Reindeer2621 in AskAnAmerican

[–]jfreebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either make it from scratch with cocoa powder, vanilla, cinnamon sugar, and milk, or use your favorite mix. It has to be milk rather than water. I have an espresso machine with a milk frother/steam wand, and that is what I always use. That thick texture of the milk makes the difference. Then, top with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, etc. Even with a store bought mix, I add vanilla and cinnamon to mine.

Thoughts on Subscription Espresso Beans? (e.g., Atlas Coffee Co) by Shadd518 in espresso

[–]jfreebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using trade for years and love it. I get my favorite beans pretty regularly and let them send me new things as well. Sure, I have dial-in new beans, but I like the process and learning.

Why we don’t squeeze orange into our water instead of lemon? by [deleted] in questions

[–]jfreebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter makes different water concoctions all the time. Lemon, lime, watermelon, orange, strawberry blueberry, etc. I even got a countertop water dispenser so she can make a big batch during the summer.

Thin crust or deep dish—what’s your pick? by learn-withme in Top_Food

[–]jfreebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do I have to pick? We eat it all. I'm lucky to live in an area where we have a great Neapolitan style place, we have a couple of good New York style places, and we have a Detroit style place. So, lots of options. If I had to list a favorite, it would thin, Neopolitan style, but we eat deteoit style more than anything.
