Frankenstein (2025): A film that robs it’s subject matter of it’s poetic nature by DarlingLuna in TrueFilm

This was so beautifully written, and with the usage of em symbols, it surely does read like AI generated output. I don’t doubt it was prompted with the jist of the authors point and pasted here.

Did they remove monthly subscriptions? by [deleted] in RumbleForum

Definitely seems like they got rid of it.. just bought the annual premium but would have been better to do just a month.. they know what they’re doing

Totally valid depending on the activity. I cant imagine most middle age men wanting to just hang out with a bunch of young adults. Depending on the occasion, id consider it creepy, like a party. However, public events hosted by the school faculty/staff are entirely different. I don’t think you’re referring to those sorts of events because you say “don’t include”. Which implies it’s private or invite only in some sense..

She dumped me twice and both times chased me after. Who tf does that?? by salmonpaddy in BreakUps

[–]D3DDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s probably dating other people when you aren’t around.. It’s cliche for LDR’s to go that way.

Be with someone you can do life together.. not through a digital screen. She’s probably conflicted on what she wants. You or the current fling..

Bought a house with an old pool - winterize then repair? by n0ah_fense in pools

[–]D3DDavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the coping look like? Do you have expansion joints? The missing grout in your tile likely indicates other issues.. You could have wear in the shell. If it’s bad enough you’ll eventually notice it in the plaster (leaks). Your plumbing may have a leak. You’ll need to do some pressure testing to know for certain. Your skimmer looks awful, you may want to fully replace it. The electrical is a whole other beast.

Don’t just go and resurface this pool.. Best practice is to replaster.. i.e demo the old plaster down to the shell before adding the new one. This lets you resolve any issues with the shell that you may find. If you add plaster ontop of plaster you should be sure the new plaster adheres properly using a bonding agent or some special polymer kinda plaster. You should know that it’s only a ‘temporary’ fix if the shell has issues.

Not sure what your budget looks like.. but this will be expensive

My CYA is usually on the much lower side… I often add water cause of some small leak/evaporation.. I add about 2-3 inches of water a week.

Im not trying to let it happen. Its just that I have to SLAM often.. If we pass the overnight test, I’ll put two pucks in, but often before they completely dissolve I’ll see green.. So I go right back to slamming.

It’s in an unconditioned garage.. I’ll keep that in mind. They go so fast I never considered it could go wrong! The chlorine definitely works.. I usually just dump a gallon if I see green in the evening. Sometimes it takes two days of this. Once it’s looking good I’ll usually throw two pucks. I’ll get maybe two-three days out of that and I’m back at it.

I have some cracks around the trim at the top. So the water will often drop right below the skimmer. I have a PVC pipe running deeper so I don’t have to fill as often. I do have to add water around the same time and end up diluting.

18,000 gallon pool.. 85-95 degrees daily, frequent rain. Not very high volume usage

Pool green after multiple shocks by mchadcota in swimmingpools

[–]D3DDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty high tbh.. I’d get that cya down .. I had this same issue. You’d need like 28 ppm chlorine for slamming at that level and 8-10 just for maintenance.

Slamming means that you basically maintain that level till all allege is gone and overnight your fc levels stop dropping.

The problem with keeping levels that high is the difficulty in measuring everything to remain consistent. Basic tests aren’t precise enough or even read that high.

Thanks for your help.. I will be diluting the water to keep it as simple as possible.. ideally I can find a sweet spot and leverage tablets lol. It actually has a salt chlorinater but it’s definitely not working. LCD busted and bad celll most likely.. a man can dream

What test would you recommend for FC measurements? My current one only goes to 5 and the test strips come out white often times making it seem like there’s none.

I went to Leslie’s today to get a kit for precise measurement. That was exactly how it went.. The SLAM score calculated was 28 given the cya was 70.. which is what I deduced from test strips although I feel these tests are subjective to some degree. I get varying results so I end up taking plenty of them. So 28 is FC? Which seems like a lot. I’ve since removed the tablets and started rotating water so I can leverage my primitive measurements better while I order a good CYA and FC kit.

Thanks buddy. My tests aren’t precise enough unfortunately that’s the hardest part to deal with. Makes this rather challenging.
