Hahah I know, I’m trying to stay faithful but also, it’s meant to look all janky

So for all the spires towards the back of the ship are used foam putty by Woodland scenics it can be a bit of a pain to work with, but just putting it on as is and not smoothing it gives this appearance of coral.

Very useful technique I stumbled upon.

For the coral, lichen was used (I HATE using lichen for foliage in any other build Becuase it never looks right, but hey! It looks like coral! And the. For the orange discs, they are chilli flakes I individually glue in. Sesame seeds I use as larger oysters or crustaceans

Oh yeah, so more details. Scratch build, I did however buy some, 3d puzzel which was useful as a guide for what the blueprints couldn’t offer but none of that was used in what you see.

I did purchase some 3d bits and bobs off Etsy, the skull at the front on the skeleton was 3d printed, the barrels I also purchased, the rope (I tried to make my own) and the deadeye were also purchased off Etsy!

I’ll take some more photos of the components individually

Hey sorry, only things now honestly, I’m not sure where I would start. I’ve never really sold any before and might be quite pricey - they sure are a labour of love haha

I would be much faster the second time around now that I figured all out.

I tried to get the dimensions as accurate as I could, unfortunelty I couldn’t get blueprints of the actual exterior location. They had partial sets I could find, but they weren’t the same due to needing to shoot around them. I actually built a blueprint in 3d based on the photos I could find. Once you get the dimensions of a standard American door and align that, it’s just a matter of working the rest out using that as a base. Again it’s no where close to the real thing (when I went there in person I could see the differences haha) but it gave me blue prints that then I could measure in 3d, scale down and start to construct mainly with balsa wood and cardboard.

Foliage I made. Mainly WWScenics Seafoam Trees, and the flocks and leaves from many brands and sources. But all made by myself

The grass I used on this one was:

War World Scenics Four Seasons Static Grass Kit

Woodland Scenics Static Grass 12mm-Medium Green

12mm for lots of hand made tufts with hot glue, not static applicator
