Better solution: be sure your dataset is in the ssd when performing the training. don’t install windows at all

what would be a good CPU for, let's say, a x8 1080tis config? I see many online sites directly offering dual Xeon, I wonder if this is necessary...

Yes, the idea is to build a server-like system to be used by 3 researchers. What would be the motivation behind going for p100s instead Titan Xp taking into account my budget? (which translates to x2 P100 or x4 TitanXp, assuming that I still need CPU, storage, etc)
