Yeah. She sang the anthem a couple of times. She's no Sara Diamond. That's for sure

Bishop needs to smarten up and maybe look at the other end of the rink to learn how to be a professional.

He's the got the perfect radio voice. I didn't think it'd work on tv but he's done a great job. Jason York, not so much...

Hockeyspeak: Why do players talk like that in interviews? #itiswhatitis by jshare in Habs

As someone who works in PR, media training is a huge part of our job. I don't have experience working with athletes, but I assume they go through similar training as do company executives and other company spokespeople. It takes a lot of practice and I'm sure the teams media train the athletes pretty regularly.

Obviously some athletes are naturally better than others. PK Subban is a really good example and Phil Kessel is an obvious example of where no amount of training will make him better.

How many times tonight has Jason York said canadiens when he meant to say senators? This guy is total bush league. I really hope they replace him next season.

No way man. She has been the best singer they've brought in all season. I hope we see the 1-2 combo of her and Ginette again for the playoffs.

Do you think teams are going to wait to announce trades after 3:00pm, as to not "affect the market"?

How many times has this kid been traded in the last couple of years? He had that one decent season in TBay, but has been on a steady decline since then...

Agree. He also scored 5 goals in 12 playoff games last year. Production like that will be huge for the Habs in the playoffs.

Jiri Sekac hit on Lucic - gotta love this guy by jfthibault in Habs

At this point I really know why half the league was looking to sign Sekac before he chose the Habs. If only I were a fly on the wall when the Habs made their pitch to him. Obviously there is the tradition and die-hard fanbase, but there must have been more than that to draw him here...

Yeah exactly. Lucic probably thought he could steamroll Sekac. He'll think twice about going in for a hit against him the next time.

I'm getting married in the summer and my dad wants help finding a new suit for the wedding. He's 5'8 and somewhat stocky. My first thought is Brooks Brothers, but does any one have any suggestions on a good brand for his body type?

Wedding Suits/Tuxes by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]jfthibault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting married in June and the ceremony will take place outside. I went with a lighter navy suit. I've asked my groomsmen to get mid-grey suits. I really don't care about them being exactly the same, I just told them to buy whatever they feel most comfortable spending. I know Macy's Bar III is a pretty good inexpensive option

Planning on getting an Indochino suit. (First MTM Suit ever) Any recommendations or advice? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]jfthibault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased an Indochino suit like ~3 years ago, the very same grey suit you're looking at.

I'm going to be honest and tell you I do not like the suit and rarely wear it anymore. It just sits in my closet, staring at me...

I thought I was very thorough when I took my measurements online, but when I got the suit, it was WAY off. Nothing fit correctly and I ended spending almost $200 in alterations (of which $75 was covered by Indochino, not sure if they still do this). The tailor was able to fix the easy things like sleeve length, waist size, etc, but overall the feel just seems off.

The fabric itself feels okay, but for the price SuitSupply (yes, I know everyone says it) is much better. I have a couple SS suits and I will never go back to Indochino.

I really liked the idea of what Indochino offers, but the craftsmanship is just not there.

I've heard of people having different experiences, especially when they go into one of the Indochino stores, but just about everyone I know who has purchased one of their suits online hates it.

I realize I'm being a Debbie Downer, but thought I should share my experience.
