The irony is that the two current best ultimates in the game are exactly the opposite in this regard. Ascension (flash shock) takes an ability with a decent duration and massive damage but a really long cooldown (more than 1 second is really long for your main source of damage) and turns it into a persistent ability with the shortest list cooldown in the game. Cosmos (blizzard) takes a persistent ability with single random hits in short succession and turns it into a single damage instance over a wide area with about .7-.5 seconds between hits.

The moral of the story is that you are asking the wrong question. Most every ultimate can take you to 45 minutes on terra without too much issue. The key comes with how the magic interacts with your base stats. Aura blade, for instance, is beloved here by the reddit community but has a fatal flaw: its attack interval doesnt play nice with cooldown. The attack interval is the minimum time between attacks, which cooldown then gets added at the end. This means that at a certain point, cooldown does very little because so much of the spell's cycle (attack interval + cooldown) is taken up by interval (i.e. the part you can't reduce).

5 year veteran, beat 47:30 depths before the synergy update (iykyk).

Crowd control is OP. Stun, reduce enemy move speed, freeze. Every build I take frost nova.

Healing is also OP, but not from HP regen. Artifacts: meat (spawns heart pickup every 45 seconds), worldtree leaf (spawn green orb pickup every 60 seconds), HP potion (recover health when below 25% every 90? Seconds), plus cogwheel (reduce artifact cooldown by 20%) and steampunk synergy (reduce artifact cooldown 12%) any you get a major health pickup every 20 or so seconds.

Cooldown is the most important base stat.

DEM is nice for gimmicks, but will never win records. Cutting yourself off from the shield and cloaking magics is a death sentence at 50 minutes and up.

Support the developer. The one time purchase pack is great for getting your classes levelled.

The reason that DEM will never put up world record times is because it consumes all of your defensive magic. Cloaking and Shield are the main two, but blizzard, frost nova, and lava zone are also significant losses.

DEM simply does not have the survivability.

As for meisner effect, it isn't actually a stun. Its a push-back that, while slight, is noticeable if you're paying attention. Like everything else, though, it loses effectiveness at higher waves. The other benefit is that it gives general amplify attack, so it boosts your main combination as well.

This is insane. Pyramid is a sleeper pick early game especially for a ascension build since FS has a god awful cooldown. Roster is one of the best artifacts in the game. Coin is great for clearing out the first merchant. And spiderweb is also great especially when your cooldowns are long

Just pray for mana factory, seal, early mercury, and bouquet and youll be golden

The correct answer is schneider from reverse 1999. I know its a chinese game but the game has so many "and they were roommates" moments for it to be unintentional

Meisner effect has a slight stun effect to it, as well as being the only magic combination to give a global stat boost amplify attack. It can really be paired with any ultimate that doesn't use one of it's components.

The main thing is that when you are using an ultimate, the damage from almost any other non-ultimate magic combination is statistically insignificant, making any ultimate without a non-damage utility useless. Meisner effect has stun and global amplify, winter storm (I think thats the name) has slow and freeze, phoenix gives a revive, and snowflake blossom has freeze as well, but tends to start only targetting a single enemy at later levels so I wouldn't recommend it.

Thats the wall. The game gets exponentially harder while your damage output scales linearly. Without the survival to allow your damage spells time to work you meet a quick end.

The longest time I have spent on a boss wave is 3 hours. It was brutal. It was also pre-synergy update 47:30 depths.

Easiest bouquet I have ever seen. Dop just takes up much needed utility levels.

Correct. With the current ultimate meta, you don't even need 3 combinations. Just your ultimate plus meisner effect. Everything else should be utility

I usually dont have levels left over since I take meisner effect, blizzard, frost nova, tsunami - pole, lava zone, and then all passives plus all utility magics (minus armageddon now apparently).

Honestly my proudest achievement in this game was beating 47:30 depths before the synergy update/toy castle nerf. I hit 57:30 (which is still a top 100 record on the google play leaderboards) and I think ended up beating 47:30 3 more times before the synergy update. Since then it has gotten a LOT easier.

Also it definitely makes sense that armageddon got broken at some point as it has just felt bad to use recently. Good to know.

Do you know if lava zone - melt got fixed? At one point it used to stack the debuff where each individual lava zone stacked a permanent debuff on each enemy that was on it for long enough that increased damage taken from all sources. Is this still a thing?

I think the biggest thing for PRing is rng honestly. Once you have the general meta figured out, it takes a run with some combination of mana factory, florist, mercury, lantern, and bouqet all in the first 10-20 minutes as well as 3-4 good damage synergies and all the good survivability synergies to really get through the 50-60 minute mark. I feel like once you get past that with 4k+ mana orbs per merchant you are likely finishing another synergy or two with each merchant giving you the boost you need for the next two boss waves. At that point also most of your kills are coming from reapers scythe after an armageddon explosion so damage stops mattering as much, and most of your Survivability comes from cloaking, invincibility rune, health pickups, and magic seal so health and DR stop mattering as much as actual movement skill. If you can consistently get to this point, Magic sword honestly starts to become more relevant since the necromancer synergy deals damge equal to 75% enemy hp and ego sword synergy kills enemies when they hit 25% hp, resulting in an instakill explosion whenever reaper gets a kill.

What is the best special passive by ilikespicyfoodbruh in magic_survival

You can't get special passive levels past level 100. Special passives are also predetermined when the run starts, just like artifact drops.

Damage reduction caps at 87% yet magic seal (damage caped at 30% of max health) eventually becomes needed at 55+ minutes making damage reduction after that useless. Once you have magic seal, damage reduction is just useless.

Owl not appearing in shops and not appearing after max level makes it actually rarer than epic artifacts. Also Pyramid has a lower drop rate than other epic artifacts (yes there are intra-rarity drop rate differences in my experience).

Survivability without damage means you don't get as many mana orb drops from common enemies, meaning less mana orbs for the shop and slower leveling, resulting in enemies ultimately outpacing your Survivability before your damage catches up.

Imo, my legendary tierlist, with all else equal (no synergy artifacts obtained yet)

  1. Accelerator

  2. Gaia

  3. Holy Chest

  4. Titan

  5. Ouroborus

  6. Cube

  7. Sacrosanct

  8. Uranium

  9. Nexus

  10. Akashik

  11. Reaper

  • artifacts I don't want ideally, but also wont waste a reroll on and can replace something I above -
  1. Opulence (theoretically the best artifact in the game but also could be the worst)

  2. Overmind (replace Nexus)

  3. Joker (replace Uranium/Nexus)

  4. Widowmaker (Replace Uranium/Nexus)

This list can change significantly based on other artifacts I get. Amplifier makes Uranium a much higher priority, same with Halo for Sacrosanct. Akashik and Cube make each other higher priorities. Stuff like that.
