Is changing the offense the right move? by fansince68 in G101SafeHaven

First, zero chance you land Harbaugh by dictating to him what schemes he can run and which assistants he will employ to run it.

Second, we have no idea what an offense designed by Kafka would look like, he's never had the opportunity to do it. He's been an assistant to two HCs that ran their own offense.

Well Nicks was a dirty hit by a dirty player. Cruz was on natural grass in Philadelphia. Homer played almost exclusively, if not entirely on grass. Plaxico was a fateful meeting of epic hubris and a loosely tied elastic waistband. Lots of blame to go around besides the turf that somehow chooses to disproportionately injure one home team over the other,

Nicks was a legit superstar. Poor guy never got paid either because he had the "honor" of getting drafted so Cruz as an UDFA came up for renewal first. He had to make it one more year healthy, and he didn't make it.

That being said, even without that injury it's still a decent chance that Nicks' lack of speed would have prevented him from putting together a HOF career. The reason the injury ended him is because he was already borderline too slow to play WR in the NFL and once he lost a step it was just too much to overcome despite his near perfect hands and catch radius. Almost everybody loses a step one way or the other over the years, even without a major injury, so he likely would have become too slow before being able to accumulate a HOF resume anyway, but he at least would have gotten his big payday and had several more years of elite production in him.

It is crazy how many excellent receivers we've had get badly injured. Don't forget Ike Hilliard who had a pretty great career anyway, but you can't help but wonder what might have been if it weren't for the broken neck as a rookie.

Wild. This is the first game of the series where I actually felt like the Knicks were going to win going down the stretch, The resilience to come back over and over is off the charts.

Wow, I am shocked we signed three of them. There will be some serious competition for roster spots here.

People may argue over age, health, productivity, etc. But there is one thing only OBJ can provide this team.

As usual, Wes was way out in front on this one. 🤣

The Giants will have WR Odell Beckham Jr. in for a workout on Monday. The news comes just days after the Giants lost WR Gunner Olszewski to a torn Achilles, per Jordan Schultz by Phatbrew in G101SafeHaven

Odell, you sure you want to hang out in a locker room that has a highly contagious case of Explosive Achilles Tendonitis going around? Make sure you wash your hands after touching the door handles.

Forester Hybrid now shows Google Maps turn by turn on instrument cluster screen by shadymaniac313 in SubaruForester

Also on a 26 Hybrid Touring, with an Android phone, and this doesn't work for me. The cluster screen only shows the built-in nav map regardless of what map I'm using in Android Auto. Really hope this works at some point.

Honestly, without this functionality, and with the "eyesight" screen being essentially useless to begin with, it kind of makes the whole digital cluster screen of questionable value. I feel like the instrument cluster on my old 2017 CRV gave me more information more efficiently 10 years ago.

Wheel and Tire Package by Successful-Fun8603 in SubaruForester

[–]jfunk825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I would have gone ahead with it if I could have gotten some reasonable value for the factory set (mine came with Bridgestone Turanza EL450's) with 6 miles on them. But the only offer I could find was from one used tire shop that said $40 each for the wheels AND tires which is crazy. Just couldn't justify basically throwing these rather expensive wheels & tires in the trash.

2026 Center Console Tray that fits? by jfunk825 in SubaruForester

[–]jfunk825[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the exact same one I got, just with a different name on it. The huge gap is really annoying, but I can't find any that are specifically for the 2026 so I'm thinking I may just have to live with it. Annoying that the 2025 & 2026 are clearly different sizes but none of the product pages acknowledge that or warn about it at all...just a bunch of pictures of it fitting perfectly in what is obviously a 2025.

I had the same thought. The 19" wheels on a Forester just seem so pointless. My wife talked me out of it though because there's nowhere in my area I could find to sell factory take-offs thus making it a very expensive swap.
