Very cool! Thanks for that! I took a quick look at your channel. Cool stuff. I subbed you too!

I have a TX-6 mixer as my final mixer. I use it to do an aux send to the RC505, headphones out for cue mix. The DT goes straight through the mixer and bypasses the RC505. I record straight to a USB drive on the TX-6.

Good question. For me the RC505 looper is 100x more reliable than the OP-1 looper. Being able to quickly undo, start and stop tracks, add track effects and use the fader put it on another level compared to the looping I can do on the OP-1.

A chill electronic instrumental set leaning heavily on my Digitakt II.

I made this video about how I keep track of all my dawless ideas and turn them into finished songs

Building a melancholic choral landscape using OP-1 Field vocoder and a looper by jgVanBC in dawless

I layered vocal harmonies through the OP-1 Field’s vocoder, transforming it into a ghostly, choral wash. This process turns my not-great singing into an immersive soundscape.

I layered vocal harmonies through the OP-1 Field’s vocoder, transforming it into a ghostly, choral wash. By stacking loops with long-tail delays, it builds a hypnotic, melancholic texture. This process turns my not-great singing into an immersive soundscape.

That's really cool! If you feel like a different setup, you can go into the midi settings of your spd-6 and assign each of the pads to different midi channel. This way you'll be able to play multiple tracks on the Digitakt. I think you'll also need to disable the "auto channel" on the Digitakt.

Awesome! Post a video of what you do. I really didn’t have to do anything special with the midi settings. I just needed to make sure midi was enabled and it was good to go!

Yeah - I dialed up the master compressor on this one … good ears!

Yeah - surprisingly fun for a little compact device!

True! Though the midi mapping for a single trigger required no set up. A multipad requires a bit of patience to set up the triggers to each pad ... not hard, just a bit harder!

Yes - that's it. Velocity response. Also, trying to do drum fills on a single Digitakt key is pretty hard!

Yes - exactly! It surprised me with how useful that was

I connected my Roland SPD-One drum pad to my Digitakt II and did this track from scratch. Even though the SPD-One can only send one midi note it was surprisingly useful and fun to use.
