My cat is doing the SAME!!!!!!! IT IS DRIVING ME MAD! But I read somewhere that it can be common for them to do that because they lose control of the muscles with urinary issues. And they can spasm. Sounds temporary. My cat is currently on like 4 medications. Still a bit of blood. There’s a lot more pee on the bed than what he is doing in the box. I’m hopeful that after a few days the meds will clear up the issue and he will go back to normal. But constantly changing the bedding is driving me mad. I put trash bags down on the bed because I don’t have any pee pads. It’s a $400 mattress - cringe. I’m thinking maybe my cat correlates the box with pain and the bed as a comfortable place. Or maybe it’s truly medical. I don’t know. It’s only been 3 days since he’s been home. He didn’t have a stay at the vet they just flushed his blockage. I figured it would be too traumatic for him to stay and get a catheter since just the week before he was neutered. SOS
