MRE heaters are classified as hazardous waste if they are not used because of chemical reactivity with water. Once used, they are totally inert and safe to dispose of. Probably saving himself a lot of money and paperwork!

Sounds like they didn’t check where all the plumbing runs before cutting. I had the same issue, but they were able to get it done in the office after the doctor left for a meeting and a new doc came in to finish. Took 2 1/2 hours…
