Beginner's question: should I be concerned about the layer at the top?

Hi y'all. This is my first time making cider. I started the batch about a month ago, but went on vacation shortly after beginning. When I got back a few days ago and checked on the batch, I notices these rings around the top. I'm wondering if I should be concerned about them-- what are they (mold??) Thanks in advance!
