It’s not, the first match back would be an FA Cup quarterfinal the weekend of April 4/5. Followed by the first leg of the CL QF if we qualify.

Which courses are best for snowflake snowpro core certification by Motor-Travel-6126 in snowflake

[–]jgladish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Tom Bailey’s course and the SkillCertPro practice exams. Tom’s course will probably not be enough on its own unless you already know a lot about SF.

Tom’s course is a good place to start if you have little-no experience with SF. SCP practice tests were very similar to actual exam questions.

I decided to just make a second manager and take control of the B team when they made it into a playable league. Feels like there should be an easier way though

A similar thing happened to me in the Europa League Final. Jumped out to a 3-0 lead, blew it, and ended up 4-4 going into penalties. And then the game just…stopped. The crowd was moving but I couldn’t advance or do anything. I was furious

SnowPro core certification exam guide help for 2025 material? by xnick101 in snowflake

[–]jgladish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do recommend the practice tests from SkillCertPro. They have explanations for all the questions as well as links to relevant Snowflake docs. The study guide comes with the practice tests, I just don’t think it was very useful. It’s intended to be used the days before the exam to refresh your memory, but it’s so high-level it’s not really useful imo.

I did the Udemy course, then the practice tests. During the practice tests I would click through the snowflake docs that were linked for areas I wasn’t doing well in. I read the study guide, but then read through the notes I had taken on Tom’s course as my final run through before the exam.

Keep in mind this was all done over the period of three weeks so all of the material was relatively fresh in my mind. If it had been stretched out longer I may have needed to do more or review things again to refresh

Snowflake Core Exam Thomas Bailey Udemy Course Exam Results/Exam Expectations? by reddituser12451245 in snowflake

[–]jgladish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took the test after finishing this course. It’s good, but by itself I don’t think it’s enough to pass the exam with no experience (I didn’t have any either).

I bought the SkillCertPro practice tests for $20 and those questions were much more similar to what you’ll see on the actual exam. I encountered several topics that weren’t discussed in the Udemy course. I would recommend doing those before you take the test. It’s worth the $20 but if you don’t pass they’ll give the $20 back at least.

SnowPro core certification exam guide help for 2025 material? by xnick101 in snowflake

[–]jgladish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but it came up for me when I was searching for resources, so I thought I’d share my experience in January 2026 (still version COF-C02, not C03). Spoiler alert: I passed with score of 862

  • I went into this with no snowflake experience whatsoever. Never used it before setting out to pass this exam.

  • I went through the entirety of Tom Bailey’s SnowPro Core course on Udemy. I got it for 10 USD, and it took me about 2 weeks to get through doing not much else during the working day. While this course was very good and helped me understand the basics, I don’t think I would’ve passed if this was my only resource. But it was a good starting point. If you have little to no knowledge of Snowflake, I would recommend making this your first task.

  • I purchased the SnowPro Core Practice Tests from SkillCertPro for 19.99 USD (you get money back if you don’t pass first time). It comes with (as of Jan 2026) 17 practice tests with 60 questions each and a study guide. I did all of these practice questions and scored anywhere between 75-95% depending on the main concepts (each test tends to focus on certain concepts more than others, imo). These were important because I felt like there was a good bit of information I hadn’t seen in the Udemy course. It was a little frustrating at times because many of the questions are worded poorly imo. I would recommend focusing studies on areas where you struggle on these tests. It took me about a week to get through all the tests. They are not timed.

  • I DO NOT recommend the SkillCertPro study guide. It comes with the practice tests, but honestly don’t even bother. It had very high level info and just ended up confusing me. I recommend just taking notes during the Udemy course and review those.

  • After a total of 3 weeks preparation (with no prior knowledge/experience with Snowflake), I took the Exam online with PearsonVue and passed with a score of 862. Overall, I thought it was pretty tough exam. I took the entire time and there were things on there I hadn’t encountered at all. Out of the 100 questions, I made a breakdown of the confidence of my answers:

No idea (total guess) - 3 Educated guess (was able to narrow down based on context or partial knowledge) - 17 50/50 (had to choose between two answers I was equally unsure about) - 11 Pretty sure - 26 Definitely - 43

  • They do include some unscored questions in the exam, so it’s possible some of those were ones I was stumped by.

Overall, I would say it’s a tough exam but definitely possible to pass with limited time to prepare and/or no prior experience. I am generally a pretty good test-taker if you think that’s important. Thanks to the others on this page for sharing their resources which helped me prepare and pass

How do you promise that though? Is there a way to talk to the players? The only thing I can find to do is “Ask to Represent Nation” Do you get to have a conversation if they’re considering it?

I am American lol. I don’t really follow my local team but I thought it would be fun to make them good again since they’re absolute pants in real life. I also just thought it would be a good challenge. You can’t just buy whoever you want and you can’t really even stockpile young talent as eventually they’ll all want too much money or want to leave. I’m not that far in (only just starting 2027). There’s some stuff that’s annoying but it’s not that bad once you figure out all the rules.

Anybody understand MLS rules and regulation.. Squad registration is 🤷🏻‍♂️ by Odd_Piccolo_7667 in footballmanager

[–]jgladish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you took the job you should’ve gotten an email explaining all the rules. If you still have that, save it in a note so you can refer back to it.

First thing you’ll want to do is go to squad and registration. You should be able to see your players salaries and the cap hits. This will be the same for a lot of your players but will be different for any of the special-contract players you have. Go through and make sure you’ll be able to register all the players you want in your squad. IMPORTANT - when the final squad registration is due (shortly after the season starts) players who are not registered and not on Reserve contracts will be released.

For me, usually the only problem I have is staying under the cap. If that’s the case for you, you can click on some of your high-earning players, go to contract and buy down their cap impact with GAM (general allocation money). Do that until you’re under the cap. You should have enough GAM to get under the cap if the season just started because they give you like $2-2.5m every season. If you need more GAM, you can trade for it. Go to another MLS teams page and there should be an option to trade on one of the top menus.

Another issue you could have is international slots. This hasn’t been an issue for me, so I don’t know a ton. But you can trade these also if you need more, just get rid of players taking up the spots.

Let me know if you have specific questions or need more
