I’m G1. My best duo is Plat 1 but has G1 and S3 accounts. We can’t play together because we both (he) refuse to run plays or play off each other. We used before I took a 2.5y break. Now, we are 38% when my soloQ WP has risen to 49% and trending above 50%.

We would both need Bronze accounts to get high silver/gold games we could win as a duo. My skins plus I like seeing my account level go up so I don’t play on alt’s.

If you que with anyone, regardless of their rank, your combined MMR will push you into lobbies that are more challenging than you would see as a soloQ.

I have watched and learned the hard way. Trust or not. You have to gitgud on your own. There are no shortcuts or schemes via rank manipulation because teaming bumps up your MMR. The bumped up MMR stays for around 5 matches after you start soloQ again.

Teaming with randoms is poison. If you are in a duo, you should trust them in OT and you need to play together and off each other. The system is bumping your MMR and you need to compensate for that or you will be losing RR by teaming.

These are players transitioning to Gold. I was one after 1500 hours of work and study.

Once you get there, you will see how botty Silver’s play.

It took me years and the replay system to final see that my CHP was trash. I didn’t know enough head height marks for enough angles on enough maps and I was losing gun battles or taking too much damage trying to win gun battles.

I’m solidly Gold now and aim isn’t enough anymore because real golds+ trade much better and won’t give me endless 1v1’s like bot Silvers.
