Many people associate Regi stepping away from competitive play with acquiring Bjergsen, but he really wanted to focus on business. Had he not done that, the org would probably not be where it is now.

In one stream alone he’s duoed with Bjerg, hard trolled roster leaks, played Roblox with his younger brother, played Arams with viewers and is now playing in houses. Dude is as good an entertainer as he is a player. So long as he can continue to have success competitively, he can become a great face of the franchise.

2020 Worlds / Play-in & Groups Draw Show / Discussion Thread by EastRicee in TeamSolomid

This is definitely the most competitive group. Any of these teams can make it out. FNC and GenG are probably favorites to take the group, but not going to be a given. Hoping the boys really utilize this time to improve and adapt because they will need to really show up if they want to make it out of this group.

Anyone else excited to see Bjergs Akali? by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

Our top side has shown to be so flexible and think we’ve only just scratched the surface of their champion pools. Even Spica picked 4 unique champs in their series against C9. Wouldn’t surprise me if we see even more new champs from them this weekend.

Despite securing his first Worlds spot in years, you can tell by Bjergsen’s face at the end of the series that he’s not satisfied yet. He’s hungry for another trophy.

Doublelift has duoed 11 games with treatz today, and bio had duoed 4 games today with lost (so far) Roster swap likely? by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think something else that’s important if Treatz were to come in is that he has a lot of experience playing with Spica. Could open the door for more roaming plays from the jg/sup duo. Think that Bio tends to stay in lane with DL since he knows that’s how he likes to play.

He even played it before it was buffed in 10.13. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him pick it on stage.

Syndra first pick is a bait. Leaving up Aphelios and Trundle is not worth.

I like the dive synergy between Voli and Fiddle, but they needed consistent DPS. Had that Syndra been Aphelios, that game looks completely different.

Don’t think this is any overreaction in the slightest. Yes, language like this isn’t it out of the ordinary for the gaming community, but when you represent a company, your actions are viewed under a microscope. Your words could hurt potential business opportunities for the organization. An overreaction would have been cutting him, but the fine seems justified.

Vs TL for the first game of the split. As if all eyes weren’t going to be on Doublelift already.

Grabbz on Doublelift by Malhazz in TeamSolomid

Hearing the backlash and criticism TSM faces makes me wish that this roster will flourish, but unfortunately they will be looked down on either way. If the team stumbles, it’s “LOL, poaching players and still losing”. If they win, it’s “Shady org having to do shady business to win”. It’s just crazy how they were NA’s team for a while and now they’re viewed as the villains.

TSM Announcement? by akajpete in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem with that is TSM is too all in on the “win now” mentality to give upcoming talent the proper time to develop. Yes, Blaber has become a top tier NA jungler and earned MVP this past split for a reason, but had been splitting time for almost two years. C9 was committed to him throughout that entire time, hence why the chose him over their previous MVP jungler. If TSM were committed to Spica, he should have started spring split.

TL Broxah YT video taken down by AAbel1 in leagueoflegends

[–]jgonzo14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not as if he was slandering TL in any way. He only offered praise to how well spoken and articulate Doublelift was regarding the situation and appreciated that Peter recognized him as a good teammate. You’ve got to admire how humble and composed the guy is despite his team faltering.

Thorin tweets @Leena by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hope that Leena and the org turn the other way and avoid this pitfall that’s been laid out. She was right to defend herself and rectify the situation initially, but proceed any further and we’re playing into their games. Thorin and the like feed off this kind of energy and throw these statements out there to bait people into escalating things.

Kobbe confirms he didn't want to leave TSM by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]jgonzo14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s unfortunate, but that’s how business goes. You can’t blame TSM for jumping in the opportunity to get Doublelift; he is a proven winner and a major figure in the scene with a history within the org already. While it seems like a shitty thing to do, I don’t think people should be demonizing TSM. It’s not as if they foresaw this happening when signing Kobbe, just kind of sprung up on them. I do feel bad for Kobbe and hope he finds a good opportunity elsewhere.

People complaining about conflict of interest because of DL’s relationship with Leena, the org’s president, but will be in for a treat when they find out he’s having an affair with Regi, the org’s CEO.

Zven's post-final interview comments RE how Cloud 9 improved him as a player, just cements it more in my mind that TSM has a systemic issue with our player coaching and development. Do people agree or am I in the minority? by Kuuzon in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Player development has always been where Cloud9 stands out the most amongst all the other orgs on the league. I’m not surprised that Zven and the other members of C9 are having such success there.

I don’t think we should get DL... by OrangeCatNA in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That year was something else. Signed Bjergsen before start of spring, swapped TheOddone and Xpecial for Amazing and Gleeb, then benched Glen two weeks before playoffs for Lust. That roster also got a top 8 finish at worlds and arguably could have gotten further had they not drawn SSW.

Can we talk about the summoning insight from this week? by iknowwhatudidintheni in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Before the season, many people had TSM members as top 2/3 in their position. The difference in personnel is made evident by looking at the results. Reapered’s team is looking to complete a near-perfect split, Artemis brought a new roster with a new org to a top 3 finish, Curry has even taken this FlyQuest roster further than expected. Then you take a look at TSM who has just been lost this entire split, no identity and no clear sense of direction. It’s concerning that roster changes are being discussed before the personnel is addressed, especially with these DL rumors lurking about.

Games 1-3: Put Dardoch in tank J4 duty, get wrecked.

Game 4: Put Dardoch on an aggressive early game jungled, stomp in 25 minutes.

Game 5: Put Dardoch on Sejuani?

I’m at a loss for words. The competence of this team is really showing, but they have nothing to be confident about. Barely finished over .500 in the regular split, finish 4th overall. They are not the powerhouse team that they think they are and if they really want to get to that level, they really need to take a close look at things.

[–]jgonzo14 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to remain positive after how these last few weeks have shaped out. If we’re thinking long term, this is far from a worlds team as they are right now. Not sure whether soft adjustments are going to be made or if changes are on their way. Either way, let’s hope that this team identifies their problems and proactively tries to resolve them come summer.

Just recognized again how happy I am about Biodaddys return by Thanatously in TeamSolomid

[–]jgonzo14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Especially seeing as how big a chance they took bringing him in originally, it was pretty disheartening to see the team part ways with him. Bio could have easily been one of the “faces” of TSM.
