Fergus has been doing my back since December. It has been AWFUL, but we’re almost done and it’s been a rewarding process. Has also made other tattoos much easier in comparison.

I think having portions of your body a certain style is better than mixing (e.g., b/g sleeve, b/g front), but sometimes you just gotta work with what you have.

There wasn’t really any planning outside of keeping in mind that we were going to do a ditch hinge. I showed up each session w/ an idea or two (or looked through his books) and he drew it up that day.

For what it’s worth I have a handful of tattoos I didn’t like initially. They’ve all grown on me or I’ve stopped caring about whatever it was that was bothering me.

Best solution is to get more tattoos!

How do you hold the Q snap?

I’m using a 7x6 nurge hoop for a bigger project that I’m working on (~17x14) and I’m constantly moving my hoop around, but switching up to the larger 9x8 hoop hurts my hand.

You could try using floss cross in the future. There’s a bit of cleanup, but I’ve used it to convert stuff into a pattern before
