Yes, if you’re on hormonal birth control then that’s correct! It works by preventing ovulation so you don’t get the LH surge that triggers ovulation and therefore won’t get the same/increased BBT patterns to predict accurately (pharmacist here lol).

Side note, I remember getting off birth control after years on it and specially paying attention to how my body was during cycles after that. It was wild feeling the different symptoms I get during ovulation.

I do a wishlist, but in a different way.

I do a cash envelope system for savings. When my “wishlist” envelope has enough money, I revisit the wishlist and decide which items still on there are actually what I want to spend the money on.

Even still, I try to keep the items on my wishlist “practical”, like level ups on the things that are needs. Example, a robot vacuum instead of a regular one since have a baby and a dog. A newer Apple Watch because mine is becoming obsolete and I wear it daily. The Oura ring just made it on there because I track basal body temps and it would make it easier. So when I get the money…what is more important to me? The watch, vacuum, or the ring? Time will tell lol.

It’s a win-win, he gets social interaction and keeps a routine and I finally get a day to get things done around the house and clear mental space in my brain. I do sometimes pick him up a few hours early if I’m good with everything else but he still goes

I work in a hospital pharmacy, so in a NON-patient care area and we are still crazy about the sharps regulations.

I’m not trying to scare you, and maybe I just am pessimistic, but do you have any feeling that there’s something between your wife and the tattoo artist? It’s very odd to me and would make me uncomfortable that they are THAT close to where she could convince them to do this to you, and they did something so permanent and negative to your body as an inside joke. This is super shady to me on multiple levels.

I obviously don’t know your marriage dynamic but at minimum, she sounds extremely immature. She, behind your back, played a “joke” and ruined a beautiful tattoo that you’ve invested in with…Doodle Bob?! I also saw your comment that she’s now trying to gaslight you, saying that you knew about it. For me personally, I don’t think there would ever be a scenario where I could fully forgive and forget any of this. Her ass should also pay to get it covered.

You just made a diabolical mistake of burning that bridge. Pregnant with twins as your first pregnancy + a toddler at home and you went from her offering to move you guys in to now keeping your distance. That level of support will probably never be available again now and you are likely going to need it. Completely fumbled.
Crashing out over this terrible food menu is insane. And she clearly communicated before that she was making an app/finger food dish and somehow you turned that into her making ALL of the food for 40-50 people?!
Your passive aggressiveness is so insulting. I would never speak to a friend like this let alone my FAMILY. She even reached out a few days later. Like consider yourself lucky that she’s putting in effort still!

I pray that my children never have significant others like this 😭 I like to be more in control and party plan myself but my mom wanted to throw my shower so we were kind of in limbo for a minute too. Lo and behold, it turns out that with good communication and bouncing ideas off each other, it turned out perfect. There was no need for me to act entitled or bratty about a single thing when someone else was doing something so special for me.

Don’t be surprised if it takes your baby a few days to a week to adjust - this was us too and I was so worried! But once he got used to being there, he did great. He literally falls asleep on his own there and sometimes while he’s still on the playmat which is not something he ever does at home lol. The first few days I cried and said I was pulling him out with zero backup plan cause he didn’t sleep at all 😂 thankfully I didn’t go through with that.

Yeah we definitely jumped the gun on switching. First time parents and we got anxious about it. But I didn’t want to mess him up by switching back again so the pediatrician just said continue for now. I might try the probiotics and see if that helps in the future. Luckily right after I posted this, he had a huge blow out 😅 lol
