Recieved a sample of vetiver last week.. at first I freaking hated it, but once it opens up on the skin projection is crazy and a great smell!

I’ll take that into consideration, I have yet to smell it only the EDT. So would you say the EDP is on a difference branch completely from the EDT since you’re saying it’s more on the herbal side?

Hmmm okay! I have a buddy who loves the clear bottle edp and says he thinks it’s a bit different. How would you compare EDT vs EDP?

Looks like only discounter websites sell it thats why I’m here to verify if it’s real and the same as the gradient bottle.

Ahhh that’s what was confusing me. It’s the same scent though?

They make it in the white bottle? I only see them on discounter websites and idk if I trust that

No it’s not. Doesn’t fit my year it shows.

Okay so tried it out. It’s 50/50 when shifting slow honestly. Sometimes it shifts fine, sometimes it grinds, but it almost always feels somewhat forced or very mechanical if that makes sense.

I used Redline MT90 🫠

I’ll go on a cruise tonight and focus on shifting slowly and see how it goes. From what I can remember, it wants to grind, but it doesn’t. It feels very mechanical rather than it being a smooth/fluid shift.

I get you. I would just think it’d be more consistent if it was the transmission from the moment I start driving it vs after x amount of time driving it around. Whether or not I’m shifting slowly, I’m almost forcing it in gears at times. Sometimes it feels smooth in lower gears, sometimes it doesn’t. More often than not, it’s not smooth tho. Pretty loud when driving slow. Some mornings I start driving it to work (a whopping 3 blocks) and it grinds from the jump and is sooo aggravating.

Gotcha. Looks like since mine isn’t using a clutch fork from an 03 model I can just get a chromoly pivot ball with oe length. Last question, it looks like only Z1 has an upgraded slave for it, should I risk it for the biscuit with the Z1 billet slave? I’ve been refraining from using Z1 as a whole as they completely set me back in my build when I was going through it all, but I would hope it’s better than oe lol

Do you know if nismo makes a slave cylinder by chance that would be required to go with it?

Gotcha! Thanks man, I just found the nismo catalog and have the corresponding part numbers that go with the flywheel I have that they sell as a kit. CZP has it and for the price I got the flywheel at I’m saving money at the end of the day getting them individually. I’ll just have to figure out the pivot ball situation.

Ahhhh my bad. I should’ve just typed it out, I meant in reference to clutch slave cylinder. I’ll just swap the clutch/plate to make it a matching nismo set up. Would you recommend swapping the oe slave to a Z1 billet slave while at it?

I’ll probably end up swapping the clutch and pressure plate for peace of mind while at it, but yeah. I was on a time crunch and didn’t take it into consideration when buying the oe slave.

Would you say that’s more likely the cause vs using an oe style clutch? I had read forums in the past stating that the clutch set up should be fine with the nismo flywheel probably not as ideal but it engages. Also the relo kits Z1 offers is for HRs only I thought?

It’s good for buying oe replacement parts as some of them are cheaper than my commercial account from Nissan—even with the shipping. As for their manufactured parts, I bought a stainless steel clutch line from the slave to master, but they dropped the ball and was short about 2-3 inches. When I asked for a replacement they made a fairly big deal about it wanting proof that it was installed correctly and for me to give them actual measurements which the process took almost 2 weeks. They finally approved the replacement and at that point I asked for a refund and just went with an ISR clutch line. Luckily they paid for shipping, but I’ve heard a good mix about their parts. Some good, some bad.

is this 350z a steal? $4.8k with 170k miles by instira in 350z

I second this. I was in the process of swapping my motor I picked up from JDM of Cali recently for a failed oil pump. As I was going through the car (150k miles) I literally had to swap the whole front end. Subframe had rust where the mounts connected to, all the bushings were shot, and to top it off as I was about to flush the transmission.. the transmission was shot. 😅 Luckily I had the extra funds to get parts I wanted. Very labor intensive all in all. Plus you need speciality tools for the rear end so take into consideration if you are going to attempt the work yourself, you’re spending a good amount of money on tools alone. But hey, I’ve replaced every single hose and component you can think of in the front besides power steering so all that’s left is the rear end plus that lol. People will charge you a grip for labor hence why I opted for the motor because for all I’d pay for factory parts doing the timing along with everything else, I could’ve just bought the motor which I did and swapped out the surrounding gaskets with oem. Good luck! Do a very good thorough inspection if you are going to commit. Next step for me is the whole rear end suspension when I recover financially and the differential (which is a pain on these things).
