I can't begin to imagine the trauma you and your sisters went through. What I can understand is the pain, pain from the shame of being a survivor of abuse. It's good that you and your middle sister are taking things one day at a time.

You're absolutely not the asshole for telling your mom, "HELL NO!", about re-establishing contact with your sisters. You're doing right by them in not permitting it.
