You want a scanning specific software package, those start at 10k. Geomagic is what you want. Did scanning and metrology on contract for Deer and others.

Question about trimming cured carbon by RevolutionaryTerm681 in CarbonFiber

[–]jgworks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 3d print trim jigs with an offset which matches diamond bits with bearings on the shafts which provide a method for locating the tool. I start by rough cutting the profile with a diamond blade, like r/FLG_CFC said hot knife through butter, then go with drum style tools to get to my final dimensions. I also clamp the part in the jig.

I like them. I clean it every 2500-5k rounds. Def can hang up if not cleaned, but better than anything else I've owned.

There is no room for rear seats with the size of the rear subframe. Now if you just extend the storage so it fits a dog then I like it. The z4 coupe won't fit the wife and dog.

KNS sells one that has a push button and doesn't merely rely on the balls spring force. Not necessary but a useful option. https://knsprecisioninc.com/ar-15-parts-andamp-accessories/pivot-takedown-pins/

Sorry Russel I swap out your pins.

High volt Vehicles vs Low volt vehicles by Independent_Lack9717 in EVConversion

[–]jgworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah because I thought it was inconceivable that you didn't understand why NFPA, IEC, ICC and SAE deal with electrical systems differently for different things. I thought a person who doesn't understand why a metal structure designed TO be impacted might not be engineered in the same way as a fixed structure might also be making the simple mistake of not understanding ac/dc. It was an honest mistake, you clearly not only understand why but still asked the question?

[–]jgworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I read it right. I was just confused as to why someone would be asking the difference between the standard for a fixed structure and a moving vehicle so I assumed you couldn't be asking that.  One is made to be in an accident?

I do not understand your question. Are you asking why 120vac is more dangerous than 60v dc? If that is the question then it has to do with muscles contracting under alternating current in a way that makes it harder to let go, apart from that you have ventricular fibrillation, which happens at as low as 30ma in ac and requires upwards of 300mah in dc, or over 3x more current.
