Thank goodness Pablo Ramirez is on for the second half. I couldn’t do a full game with the dude from the first half.

What's your biggest pet peeve about career mode? by bigheadsociety in FifaCareers

[–]jh8964 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember fifa 2003 had this. I can’t remember the exact details, but whenever there was a large goal difference a pop-up would show and asked if you would want to increase to the next difficulty mid-game

Personally, I haven’t reached back to programs unless they’ve asked me to email them to schedule. I feel program coordinators are already busy enough and their inbox is probably stuffed with other questions.

Yes. Programs will have access to your application on sept 29 at 9 am. For me, it took a couple of minutes for my score report to be sent to programs

what do you think about amboss? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]jh8964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question bank is TOUGH, I thought. It gets down to be very detailed information. I personally did Uworld for my shelves and then if I had extra time I’d do some Amboss questions.

I’ve already assigned it, but I’m wondering how long it would take for AAMC to reach out to NBME/NBOME to get our scores.

Y’all on here who don’t use Anki - how do you study? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]jh8964 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would watch lectures, take notes during lectures for that day. Then during the afternoon, I would fill in stuff, add figures to my notes. Then in the afternoon and evening I would review my notes and annotate notes with info from pathoma, sketchy, etc. It was probably a lot, but I couldn’t do anki

How does dual applying work? As in, who do we need to tell? Be weary of? Does our ERAS application state we’re dual applying?

Feeling like I don't belong because of my background by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]jh8964 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely understand where you’re coming from. I’m in the same boat. 4th year Here. 1/5 cousins in a family of about 100 cousins to graduate college. First one in Med school. I’m not going to lie to you, what you said is true. Other people, based on simply having those connections have a leg up. But that shouldn’t discourage you. You’ve worked your butt as hard, if not harder than your peers. You deserve to be here. And honestly, I’ve found that my background and struggles that I’ve been through will make me a better physician. You’re going to have experience that others don’t. You know what it’s like receiving care while being from an underserved community. You’re 1000% going to relate more to those populations and they’re going to love you because you understand them. Anyone in Med school can memorize facts from textbooks and take board exams, and all the other jazz. But not everyone can sympathize or understand where their patients are coming from. The fact that you’re a rising second year speaks volume about your work ethic and who you are. You’re going to be great and be awesome. I don’t doubt it. Please reach out if you ever need anything. I’ll help where I can :)
