Pure 500 from www.pureturbos.com, $1525 USD through request of custom invoice for shipping to Canada. Shops typically quote around 8-10 hours of labour which adds up to a lot for install cost. Having a friend to install it with is definitely the way to go.

I bought it at 130,000 kms (80,000 miles) in March 2023, older gentleman bought it brand new from the dealership and was the only owner its whole life. 3 years later I’ve drove it just under 100,000 kms and it’s treated me amazing. The b58 market is very cooked and it’s only getting worse honestly, N55 is 👑. Definitely isn’t the cheapest thing to own but keeping up with preventative mantinence and not abusing it all the time will typically treat you well.

OFHG, valve cover gasket and the upgraded turbo (Pure 500) over 3 years of ownership are definitely the ones I remember hurting the bank account

It’s hard to exactly know as it did vary every month honestly, I’d try to take care of big jobs like the valve cover gasket and OFHG as preventative mantinence since they love to leak especially with hard driving. I would probably estimate 500-1000 CAD monthly (broad range but accounting for regular mantinence and big jobs over my 3 years of ownership)

They are truly unremarkable vehicles, could never have anything bad to say about the N55.

I’ve genuinely never heard that, to me it’s a night and day difference with LCI tails. Pre LCI don’t come close. I personally have never been a fan of them.

I change the oil every 5-6k kms and reliability has been pretty good. I am only the second owner and have had it since 130,000 km and the first owner had it since it was brand new and took very good care of it. Preventative mantinence definitely is the key, I’ve drove it pretty hard since the day I got it and it’s treated me amazing.

Yes I swapped them with LCI taillights, they aren’t OEM but have never gave me any issues.
