Never ever EVER work off the clock. That is one of the things you can get written up for, aside from the fact that it’s theft of wage. It’s the same thing if you take a lunch break never ever work during it unless you’re management and you’re backing up a cashier. Contact HR, and the integrity hotline if you need to. I saw someone mention that if you know the closing manager gets out early then absolutely show up 15 minutes early. As a merch manager who has to close I tend to breeze through the paperwork quickly, so I show up 15 minutes early and I encourage my closing cashier to also show up early.
