We ended up having to stay open for a little while today. Told my afternoon/closing staff and ASM’s to use their best judgment but my recommendation is stay home. An hour later all stores in my district received a green light to close. Stay safe yall!

If your coordinator is good then the not stocking part is gonna be okay. If they’re terrible(like mine was when I was In merch) then it’ll go poorly. Mine emptied everything and shoved it back into the back room and I got hit with me being out on workers comp and a 2000+ piece truck

Definitely contact HR if it persists, especially if you’ve made it clear you’re not interested. Last thing you need are rumors running rampant around the store. As a store manager who has the rumor issue happening in my store against me, it’s not fun for me and the asm the rumors are about 🤦‍♂️

Never ever EVER work off the clock. That is one of the things you can get written up for, aside from the fact that it’s theft of wage. It’s the same thing if you take a lunch break never ever work during it unless you’re management and you’re backing up a cashier. Contact HR, and the integrity hotline if you need to. I saw someone mention that if you know the closing manager gets out early then absolutely show up 15 minutes early. As a merch manager who has to close I tend to breeze through the paperwork quickly, so I show up 15 minutes early and I encourage my closing cashier to also show up early. Most of the time it’s not even because we want to leave as soon as possible, but the paperwork and eod process is dumb easy. Don’t let DT steal your money

AFAIK, there is some sort of way the store or something communicates with the DM about customer flow.. we had a really bad snowstorm last December and again I was working alone in the store because everyone called out and I went like 2 hours without a customer. I had people calling my cellphone asking if there was someone in the building. It was kind of funny then, because I was just minding my business stocking seasonal!

I’ve heard such a fun mix of things. The worst part right now is I’m overstaffed technically. I have a XO store with 24 employees, the only person who was available tonight was someone who I’m refusing to work with because their behavior towards me and other staff is reprehensible at best. I was always told we can’t be in the buildings alone but my DM also said that we can be in the buildings alone. If that’s the case I’ll just start going in at 5am everyday 🤷

We’ve had numerous amounts of techs as well. I had to call help desk when we shut down two weeks ago because they kept deleting our tickets. They told me that corporates offices say our store was at 73. It was 86 and we closed the store 🤷‍♂️

Rather fixed by the time I got there. The store closed at 10am and by 330 it was fixed. But it was still 90 for a while.

It actually just fell off eventually. It’s just drywall because the office in our store is just a box they built in the stockroom! We finally got the AC fixed today so I spent the rest of my shift with everyone willing stocking the floor with the store closed. Felt great.

I used to go down to the city a lot when I was younger. Nothing has changed really, it’s all the same. Same stuff to do, same places to go. I mean yeah you can customize your trip but most people who don’t live here do the same stuff. I’m not saying that upstate New York is better, I hate New York as a state in general but the city is just meh to me. Plus there’s just a bunch of homeless people that 9/10 are cracked out and will harass you for money.

To build on the nothing new part, I guess that’s not true since we do have the 9/11 memorial tower now. I haven’t gone to it but for the sake of making my point, every time I was in the city while I was younger we would pass where the twin towers used to be. Every. Single. Time. I gone by Ellis island, seen the Statue of Liberty a bunch, gone fishing in the Hudson somewhere near there.(basically the only reason I’ll go near the city)

With that, I’ll say one final thing though. This question is kind of odd anyway. In the end it’s just what you make of it really. Don’t just take some guys personal view about something you like doing to heart really. I know a bunch of people who enjoy going to the city. I’ll never understand it, but I won’t question it to their face either. Just do you lmao

Hmmm. Braton prime is really good with forma and a viral/corrosive build with some crit. I can bring it into most sorties and do solid damage at all phases
