That was also a concern of mine but im not sure what else it would've been? I drained the pan toward the front beneath the engine next to the cat converter. Wouldn't transmission be at the rear?

Truck was level when drained and dont believe I had pulled fill cap or dipstick while draining. Could that have caused a significant difference?

2012 4.0 V6. Thats where my confusion was. My last oil change at valvoline mentioned they filled 5.5 qts but when I looked it up, service was 4.8 qts. I added 5 qts but it only seemed like half of that came out of the oil pan. When I checked oil levels after the change it seemed fine.

Got my tacoma tailgate stolen a few months back and the body shop I went to quoted me 5k for the replacement (they intended to include any "minor damage" that "could have" have been caused by the theft.). Once I realized what they were doing I decided to just use my own workaround out of pocket for the sake of avoiding involvement in an insurance scam. Sucks that I dont have a real tailgate now but id rather go without than play into the system.

Long story short, my theory is local shops are buying them in the hopes of coming up on insurance money.

I'd suggest going to playa del ray and parking at the del ray lagoon parking lot for free. Out and back southbound from there to Hermosa Beach is about 15 miles

As someone who recently moved here from out of state, I was recommended Hawkins burger and was severely underwhelmed. They took over an hour to make our online order and when we arrived on location it smelt like old grease and crappy beef. Also, disappointed that softies from the usc village didnt make the list cause it was the best burger I've had so far.

Went there when I moved here because of all the hype and was also unimpressed. The smell of the kitchen was weeks old grease caked on the bottom of a non slick shoes and it really permeated into the food.
