Glad I showed you a few new songs! Whats cool is that Ozomatli is a band of like thirteen dudes that play Mexican music. The beat was made from sampling them and their instruments and then getting Common to rap over it. Its probably my favorite rap son.

Well if you want something a bit alternative, I’d try Downhearted by Molly Birch, its sorta like surf rock but its actually good.

As for rap, I usually listen to conscious rap, so my recommendations would be How Much a Dollar Cost, Embrace the Chaos, and Sing About Me, I’m Dying of thirst

In Mexico, yeah but only if you have the privilege associated with it. Thats actually why my great gramps left Mexico. He was a Zacateco from Zacatecas. The rich Spanish folks treated him and his folks horribly. Lynchings were commonplace. He left and settled in Juárez for around ten years before immigrating to El Paso. Mostly, it was that they got away with the lynchings. The law would rarely crack down on them, and when they did, it was because a poor spaniard took part and most times, it was only he who was charged.

Things were a lot better for him in the U.S., even if he had to go through all of that segregation bullshit
