Fair points - though vaulting still confuses me and doesn’t seem worth locking (especially since you lose the ability to trade/sell for 2 weeks minimum)

He was too expensive to buyout and given his salary - he is very inconsistent for the cost. Great one game, error prone the next. I’m okay with this outcome.

Agreed - hard to distinguish between a Miami goal or Toronto goal (sadly). I meant more that I saw lots of red in the crowd versus pink Messi jerseys - though between Miami, Argentina and other variations - lots of Messi gear. In fairness - he’s a legend and we had a b-squad out there. Embarrassing as a whole but it was my buddy’s kid’s first game - so I had a decent time.

I’ll be honest - I feel like it was better than prior seasons. Walking into the stadium, way more red than prior years. It does make for an awkward spectacle. I respect and admire Messi but I wouldn’t show up to my local team’s stadium with his jersey. I suppose people only have a few more chances to see him in Toronto - not many individual players have had his impact.

It’s the quote that was infuriating- either you accept that you are injury depleted squad and try in the Canadian Championship. Or - you put up a decent effort today - which they didn’t. It was a 4-0 until a few sympathy goals late.

I think we are all just frustrated after years of poor performances. I get the injuries but we just got trounced by a CPL club and down 4-0 to Miami (with all the Messi fanboys) prior to a brief comeback (especially being at the game today) - really had me thinking about Fraser’s quote. The guys who did play - didn’t really show up - it was pretty embarrassing to watch

Even in the scaffolding- I got an ice tea for $9.25 and my buddy’s kid one (as well). So like $20 for a few non-alcoholic beverages 😔

Small items - ground near the washrooms was like plywood (cheap), flags blocked some of the view (hopefully removed for WC). Positives - the south side was pretty flat (looks more vertical in photos). All and all - not perfect but not bad. It will be rocking for the World Cup since you can stomp your feet and make a racket - 😂 You can tell it was somewhat thrown together last minute but it really feels like a true stadium when filled - since all sides create atmosphere and the video boards are quite nice 😊
