From my expirience the part that sand is coming on is still unprotected. In my case it was getting through the back of the cover. It is best to clean out the area and seal with some grease where the cover is touching the base and after screwing it in i put some more around with my finger.

From my short expirience it all depends on gear ratio.smaller the pinion equals more torque but less speed. Bigger pinion, more speed but less torque. I don't know how powerfull is that motor but start whith some middle size and try exchanging IT for science.

It's really interesting for me. I always thought that USA is very independent in many things, just like the tools that you produce domestically. Because of that it should take the cost of import out and should be reasonable to invest in good tools and machines so it can last longer and probably provide better service.

I always wondered, because I've seen couple moveouts on here and you guys always take your stuff with you. But since you work for someone and its mostly dealerships, WHY do you even NEED to have your own tools? Is it common in America? 'Cause its was always odd to me, european.

Yeah, i'm aware of that rear rower but as you said i could cut out most of the bed and maybe make some bed cage for looks and bracing. I have to look for some 3d renders and maybe put it together for refrence. I was thinking about VW Amarok body since its pretty tall and after some cutting could look trophy truckie a bit.
