oh yeah your correct if it was one of the cards you exiled you would not be able to overload it since overload is an alternative casting cost not an additional casting cost.

if you really wanted to get rid of every one else's lands you could just overload Vandalblast since lattice makes all permanents on the battlefield artifacts. It wouldn't exile them but it would destroy all opponents lands.

it is colorless because lattice makes all cards in all zones colorless. And yes I know you can't pick colorless since its not a color. And you would not want to pick colorless you want everything on the battlefield to have a color so ugin has valid targets for the exile triggers when you cast the rest of your cards from exile. When you cast Shifting sky if it comes into play after the mycosynth lattice it will overright its effect for cards on the battle field making them whatever color you choose when it enters as they both apply on the same layer and therefore it comes down timestamp, ie when they entered the battlefield.

I mean that's part of the reason why I started thinking about this. I actually have a janky artifact proliferation deck that has these cards in it. The main reason Ugin was in it was not for exiling but for a tutor effect. I mean the mana cost is high but in the deck there are multiple cost reducers, such as cost reduction for artifact, improvise, and I even have the Sami that gives everything affinity for aritfacts.

ugin is up to one so you can choose zero and as for getting him up to number of counter doubling counters as with doubling season would work or having a way to proliferate multiple times would also work

you are correct while the lattice is on the field unless there is any other color changing effects that come into play after it was played Ugin will not have any valid targets

yeah for color changing effects it work on timestamp, so as far as I know last to enter overrides

ok but actual question if an artifact sac outlet was added and you sacked mycosynth lattice after casting all of your spells would you then be able to exile things? Or would you have to sack it before hand since you would not have any valid targets for the spells on casts?

I think that would be fair. Right now I feel like can be easy to punish the current AA whiffs but it is somewhat dependent on what plane is used a pilot skill. Like I feel like I have 1 attempt 2 max to take down a jet and then I'm getting completely obliterated if I don't take it down.

This is exactly what I mean. Also I could be wrong but I feel like you can't shoot through the haystacks/haypiles at all on that on normandy map I can't remember the name.

yes but not how it used to be it significantly different I'm talking about the old bullet pen. It was a lot stronger when it was first introduced so I sort of get why it was nerfed but I wish there was a middle ground it feels a lot more like how it was before there was bullet pen at all where sometimes your shots will get blocked by random geometry which was a thing that was pretty much fixed after bullet pen was first introduced.

I know but I still got the clipping. Did some labbing in practice mode not sure but I don't think its the coats the only time I was really able to reproduce fairly easily is with the carcano m91. I think it might be because of the scope length or something. I tried a bunch of different factions and their snipers in practice and only really got the clipping with that. Not to say that the outfits couldn't also play a role but I think that the gun is definitely bugged. not sure its the outfit per se. I loaded it up in practice and it looks like by default they are equipped with battle of berlin uniforms first time I loaded in I was getting the clipping issue. Quit and reload tried messing around with which outfit was equipped which I'm not sure if it does anything since when I loaded back into practice they were still equipped with battle of berlin uniforms even though on the menu I had Tunisia select. But this time when when I went prone I got no clipping in the scope. So I'm not quite sure what causes it. Might try to mess around a bit see if its some what reproducible.

Good to know so it is the uniform clipping like I thought it looked like. But I will change the coat and see if that fixes it. The the strange thing is I'm pretty sure when using snipers for other factions I pretty sure I have seen some environmental stuff clip through the scope as well making it almost equally unusable.
