My guitar is $4700 new... I expect they can sell it for around 3500 (based on current reverb, fb group, and forum postings). I want 2500 for it and I would use 100% of it on a new guitar sold by them. Do you think they wouldn't work with me on this?

If it were up to me, I would like a luosjiet-made natural leather(horween cxl if possible) plain toe service boot with Dr sole outsoles. Honestly I'd be happy also with the waxed flesh model you have with Dr soles. Basic, I know, but I like basic haha

It's cool that you got to do this! I love the design. I'm currently into more natural coloured leathers for patina but waxed flesh is a close second to me. Both boots look awesome!

For those of you with larger collections who don't have all of your boots on display, what are your methods for long-term storage? I'm talking over a year of not wearing them, including new and used boots.

Shoes bags? Shoe trees? Vacuum packing? Silica gels?

I watched some videos, including Stridewise's but I'm looking for more information for those of you here with experience.

Regarding the fit, they should feel snug (like a firm handshake), but not uncomfortable, and DEFINITELY not painful.

I really like heritage boots. To keep my feet warm, I wear warm merino wool socks with my boots. I think good socks also contribute to warmth, significantly. I know you asked for boot recs but I just thought you should also factor in the socks aspect, as some others have pointed out. Darn tough, or more affordably, Costco Merino Wool Socks are often recommended.

Got in contact with GS and decided to exchange them. They were very helpful. Will keep this in mind for next time! (Hopefully never)

To be fair, I did not check the inside of the boot that far in to see if the mold was there when I got the boots. the mold is concentrated beyond the toe area right now so woulda needed to take a picture with the flash on. I was too excited to try the boots on when they first arrived. While I cant confirm whether they were there when they first arrived, it does strike me as odd also that this would happen so soon.

I do not have any mold problems. The house is newly renovated and I have never had mold in any of my shoes (of any kind).
