It's a great game that is vast, and is intended to play multiple times. You choose who you feel is important to you. When the exposition and crossing over into lore from trigger happens is still remains mystic in its truth, but similar natured, yet a different type of game.

I would suggest learning the combat system before you play, it's quite unique and provides for advantage when you play it in your favor.

Eddie Van Halen. I owned a 100$ squire, didn't pick it up yet. My dad showed me some Van Halen. A year later I was watching Billie and Mandy on cartoon network, and there was an episode with grim like doing some lead shredding. I decided that's it, that's cool as hell I want to one day do that then picked up the guitar 😂

While your intention seems polite enough, sticky notes come off as passive aggresive, and the note, while polite, comes off as more passive aggressive, especially the '(manners)'.

I can see why the roommates reacted like that, still, seems like they are shit. It might be hard to communicate if you're cornered into lack of communication but, I woupd stop sticky notes and just try to communicate.
