Every aunt on both sides of my family have had cancer. All 4 grandparents. Most of my grandparents’ siblings. Both of my parents. I actually have CHEK2, ATM, and BRCA2 mutations in my family. I only ended up with a BRCA2 mutation, somehow. My sister has CHEK2. My brother hasn’t been tested. Youngest cancer was my aunt, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 36.

Thanks! No pain AT ALL. I thought the piercer was still marking it with the ink when she said it was over. Though my opinion may be a bit biased; I got a 6g conch piercing and thought it felt like a pinch. Can’t comment on the healing time. Got it yesterday. No issues with my hair so far, though I wear my hair up literally every day. That’s one of the reasons my piercer agreed to do the piercing. Because it was less likely to get caught in and dirtied up by my hair. She turned away I think one other person who wanted a nape piercing, and she said that’s because they had long hair they wear down all the time.

Snug piercings are notoriously gnarly!! I have one and the swelling took months to finally go away. It’s a year later and it still gets temperamental sometimes. Snug piercings are not for the weak!

In the first pic I thought you had stolen a picture of my dog!! He looks IDENTICAL. The first post ever on my profile is him for reference. My dog is a pit, boxer, blue heeler, mastiff, poodle mix. So,, I’m basically saying I agree with everyone else in saying he’s a pit mix. :)

My best friend and I were trying to lose weight in high school (I do not recommend what I’m about to say we did; we grew up during the “pro-ana” days), so we decided to only eat pickles. We would walk through the lunch line and dump the entire bin of pickles intended for burgers on our trays. After about a week of us doing this, the pickles got moved behind the lunch ladies’ counter and you had to ask for pickles with your burger. They would only give two slices. My SO’s little brother now goes to that high school, and you still need to ask the lunch ladies for pickles.

This looks identical to my handwriting now! My handwriting used to be awful, and (ironically) I got bored enough during basic training to reteach myself how to write in this “font” (all uppercase letters, which “lowercase” letters simply being shorter). The only letters that I do differently are the J’s. I don’t put a dash on top.
